Got a reply from TRU about quantities.
They have said they've ordered a hopefully sufficient amount and they should be here mid to late June.
(So I'm guessing around August)
The reply went as follows:
Dear Ryan,

Thank you for your e-mail.
We have placed an order for a sufficient amount, so hopefully you don't miss out this time.
We don't have an exact release date, but stock in due to arrive in early to mid June 2013.
You can always call us around that time so that we can give you an idea of which stores will be receiving stock.
If you have any further enquiries please don't hesitate to contact our customer service team.

So they know which stores are getting stock? Is it allocated to each store or do the stores themselves request it? Because when I asked at Wollongong about Thundercracker the store manager said that they probably wouldn't get any even though he wanted some because so many had asked about it.

Maybe. It looks like they might flog heaps at the more well-known ones, I presume, but I'm not exactly sure.
Hopefully it'll be a bit more level this time.

Yeah I got the exact same feeling of frustration by a staff member when I enquired about Prime & Thundercracker some time ago; as he explained it, TRU Wollongong being an 'Express' store, they basically wouldn't know what they were getting until it arrived in their dock & having to shelve the stock.

Yeah, I went to Wollongong on my drive through from Sydney to Nowra (family) and I was kind of disappointed, especially since it's an express store.
Still no Prime for me.
In good news though, I'm ordering MP TC from TRU US. $113 shipped isn't that bad.

I'm amazed you managed to find it dude, especially being an 'out-of-towner'.
Glad you've secured a TC though mate , it sucks that stocks were so sporadic & minimal in quantity for Australia , where apparently they can't move TC at all in the US.

From my understanding, TC isn't shelf warming in the states so much as they are just not flying off the shelves. People seem to have this idea that because this or that local TRU still has 1, 2 or 3 still available that the release was a major failure and its shelf warming and OMG this has done irrepairable damage to the Habro masterpiece line and Hasbro should listen to everything that I say cause I am a true fan!!!!1!!1!1!11!!!

Oh I've no doubt that it's likely blown out of proportion, North America has no clue what True shelf-warming is like , but I've heard it said often enough from a range of sources to the point I thought it was worth mentioning.

I'm just glad I managed to secure one myself without too much hassle.
