The Platnium series overall is it's own thing I guess, but most closely fits with the "Generations" toyline.

Optimus Prime combines with Omega but is a pretty generic OP. Since he combines with Omega best guess is he's an as yet unseen reformat of FOC/WFC OP.

Ultra Magnus is pretty clearly based on UM from Transformers Prime: Beast Hunters, so he's Prime continuity.

We've not seen enough of Grimlock vs Bruticus to judge yet but they are the Generations molds, so FOC.

The other toys in the series are still just rumours at this stage.

I think Hasbro probably intends/thinks all these toys are part of the "Aligned" continuity, whatever that means, but since that's meant to encompass WFC, FOC, the novels, and Prime, all of which contradict each other, it's not entirely clear what that means.

The poster above me explained which series the repaints are taken from.
Thanks for the replies guys! I reckon I'll probably get them since they are released as special editions in the Snake Year.
And this year has been and will be really special for us.

Was hoping Big W could have at least discounted Omega Supreme a bit in their toy sale.

On another note, saw TF Prime Beast Hunters Ultra Magnus at TRU yesterday, was really tempted to get him but couldn't find a price tag.
