That's double the cost of the TFC Insecticons at imported price! (i.e. what you would find in local Australian specialty import stores where prices are inflated due to import tax, duties, levies etc.). Or for those of us who purchased the TFC reissue directly from Japan, it's almost quadruple the original Japanese RRP (3500JPY)!
This doesn't bode well for the 2nd Year Decepticon jet reissues.

The Insecticons seem to be the over-priced one of these reissue sets this year, as the others are a lot more sensibly priced.
Worst still, there have been several re-releases of the Insecticons over the years. Not sure if there will be as much purchase intent with these guys compared to say the Coneheads reissue.

I have never owned the original G1 insecticons, ever. I've seen plenty of them in bins at toy fairs. I think I'd be willing to pay about $60 for this set. they are small, simple, inarticulate, and apart from the big shiny box and energon cubes they aren't really anything special.
