Platinum series reissue Insecticons and Coneheads

The Insecticon set has been found at American retail, for US$80!!!
The Reissue Insecticons that Hasbro released about 7 years ago was only US$35, so it has more than doubled in price, mostly because it is in a bigger box.
That's going to mean about AU$150 here, if we get it here.

Also odd is that it was found at Kmart in America, which is not known for expensive exclusives as they are more of a discount store... and has gone through a lot of downsizing of stores and inventory in recent years due to almost going bankrupt during the GFC.

I have always wanted a nice minty set of insecticons but that price (even the US one) is crazy, they are small and simple. the artwork is beautiful but it's free for Hasbro most likely as it's straight from the DeNA game.

yea, they're bigger but just as simple. The artwork should be well displayed on the front of the box though, it'll be nearly A3

Well Trypticon breaks the pattern (although if true great, I've been waiting literally years for that) but I had a thought: All the Platinum rereleases (bar Tryp) seen/rumored are 1985 toys, so it is another 30 year celebration.

And a reminder too what the 2014 line 30th anniversary line should have/could have been.

I think I'm going to cry from joy. I've been dying to get my hands on Trypticon since I was a little kid. I really hope he gets this reissue.
