Nah, honestly I think I was just lucky but I did make every attempt to ensure that I was clearly not trying to get any people in the shots and that I was obviously taking photos of products.

Some may find it a little sus - A guy walking around with a camera taking photos of stuff that clearly isn't an employee and doesn't bare the uniform of a rival...
Admittedly, I've never been questioned whilst doing it but I wouldn't be surprised if I were to be approached eventually.

Nah... My whole motivation is that should I be queried as to my actions then I'd simply state the truth and that I was providing free advertising for the company in question to key demographics.

As strange as it sounds, some shops don't like people walking-in off the streets taking photos. Back in my days of working retail, you had to get permission from the shop / centre.
