Default Long time away, happy to be back :-)

Well it has been many years and a lot has happened in between, I have gone by the name of Jetfire and Jetfireinthesky on other forums in Australia.
I have been a serious collector since 2002 and was a young collector in 1984, I vividly remember the banners and signs up in my local toystore/newsagency celebrating that the Transformers were the toy of the year in 1985. The smell of those fresh boxes of all those series one and two Autobots and Deceticons is still so close
I still maintain a large and varied collection but ceased collecting the "new stuff" at Energon.
I love the movies but have no interest in the toys (although I wouldn't mind a real life Bumblebee, Dodge Challenger just like on Hawaii Five 0 )

I hope the Oz transfan community is still going strong and that some of the old salts are still around, and hope that their are many new people here who are just as passionate about the amazing phenomenon that is The Transformers

    Welcome to the board!
Luckily the ages are pretty evenly spread but anyway it doesn't matter how old anyone is..it's the 'net.
And I'm also an ol fogey

    LOL

Whilst I was more referring to a returning former member being 'old', it would seem the majority average age is 30+ round here.
So those of us in our mid 20s, such as myself, are in a minority and have to keep you old blokes on your toes some how.

You're only as old as you feel. sometimes I feel 100, others like when I find a toy instore that I've wanted for ages I feel about 5 again.

Welcome (back) Jetfire in the sky

So a traditional G1 / G2 focus in your collection? What do you think about the Alternator and Masterpiece series? They are what got me into collecting

Welcome back to the forum. People saying they are old on this forum always make me laugh. When you are on your way to becoming a grandfather then come and see me
