They seem to be by a different publisher with a different page count? what gives, is one a rip off of the other, is one a young readers edition with larger font?

    I just don't get it.
One is the release from a UK publisher (the more expensive). The other is the release from a US publisher.

The UK one, with a higher page count, must have tighter margins or different font. (Or some of the data could be wrong, maybe cross check the isbn numbers on Amazon?)

It's not that unusual for a novel to be in different formats for different markets based on the publishers. Like when the first of these novels came out it was a full size hardcover in one market and a small paperback in others.

The UK one might also have all the "u"a back in words like honour and colour.

Anyone ever seen one of these buggers before? A mate of mine from work gave it to me, apparently they do lots of different sci-fi characters (his fav is Yoda). I'm presuming it is a sanctioned product as it actually says 'Optimus Prime' on the box, but can't see and Hasbro/Tak/Tom marking. And the pieces are SO TINY - like regular lego was put through a shrink ray!

Unless there is a logo of Hasbro or TakaraTomy as licensed merchandise has to have, it wouldn't be official... and I think the Series is a knock-off concept of the Nanoblocks that came here in the last two years. I saw them at Toyfair, and they were very creative... but I don't think I ever saw them in stores (probably because they would be a choking hazard, most stores might not have been willing to risk it).
This wholesale site lists it as a Chinese company selling the Diamond Blocks... and with that assortment of characters from conflicting Brands & companies, it is very unlikely they are licensed. (and the distributors other items are mostly KO Lego kits)

Yeah, good luck with that. Even the loose, no instructions, no Human figure, and no missile one I picked up a while back cost me $50-odd, and that was in a country where it was actually released.

I got a set of some German castle as a bingo prize at the end-of-year office party last year. I ended up giving it to our office lady/school receptionist after she said she wanted it.
Didn't know they did sci-fi characters too.

Were the IDW 2012 Annuals included in the TPBs for RID & MTMTE?

If I ever get around to catching up on the reading of those stories, I want to know if I need to buy the Annuals, if they aren't included in the TPBs that I buy.
