Yes. The cassettes are widely knocked off. Generally, unless a G1 toy is from Takara, Hasbro, Joustra, Milton Bradley, Antex, Lynsa, El Greco, Iga, Rubiplas, Estrela or GiG, assume it's illegitimate.
