Yep loved it, probably my favourite film of 2011 so far. Chris Evans nailed it and I loved Hugo as Red Skull, though it was a bit short and I had some issues with the way Hydra were portrayed. But overall great movie and the best Marvel film to date IMO.

As I was coming into Brisbane I saw posters for Green Lanturn starting 11 August. Has it not opened in Australia yet. I saw it back home months back so it seems strange...

I wasn't sure Hugo Weaving was the best choice for Red Skull when I read about but he was great. And the effects were fantastic, one of the best translations of a comic character's look to a movie version.

I also really liked the cameo of the Human Torch early on in the film. A nice touch given the casting of the main role but it meant I spent most of the rest of the film wondering if Namor might appear too.

I had the same reaction when I got back from my trip. It had already come out in every country I'd travelled to.

Yeah i was in hollywood when the premiere of Green Lantern was happening that night and people were queing up at 12pm.
But the movie did get its general release until 2 days after the premiere and my flight home was the day before it was due out wasnt happy about that so missed out
