I hadn't heard about this 'sequel'. I'll watch it if / when it comes out, but nothing can beat the original
I remember being freaked out at the scene where the kids brother's duplicate takes off his head and tells his brother to go to sleep.
This movie reminds me of Flight of the Navigator.
