    Good luck finding one Paulbot!

Hello Brett, I am disappointed that you have not yet been in contact to arrange a suitable time to return company property.

As such I have instructed payroll to hold any further payments until they have received confirmation that the property listed below has been returned.

    Please advise urgently
REALLY? 'I AM DISAPPOINTED'!?!? How patronizing! If they wanted you to contact them immediately how about just say 'Contact me asap we need to talk'. But to say 'I AM DISAPPOINTED?!?' ARHGHAHHGA!

Man Zippo I feel for you.

spilled some beer on the keyboard of my laptop last night. Initially, shutdown and re-started and gave some beeps but continued then it continually types oooooooooo.

Shutdown re-started first ok, then types eeeeeeee.

Shutdown and I will check again tonight - hope it's still alive. It's really on the verge of dying. hard disk is a bit noisy on startup, consistently slow.....

They are emailing on my personal email, my work account was shut down on the day they accepted my resignation because I work in IT and they probably thought I would hack it.

Just front up with the goods & demand to see HR to return the goods. Bring two copies of a document stating that

I Brett XXX hereby return all outstanding company property (list of property) on XYZ date & get them to sign it & date it next to your signature.

If the HR manager is not available then get reception to sign it & take photos as evidence.

When you get home send a curt email stating that you expect outstanding monies to be transferred into your account by close of business or you will refer them to the relevant authorities to recover their outstanding debt.

Sorry it worked out that way but they must be douche bags to behave in this manner.

I hadn't thought of making them sign something! Thanks for that, I will draft a letter now.

Taking the advise from Prowl, I prepared a form to take to my former employers when I returned the stuff of theirs I had.
It was signed - I had retuned everything and that all monies owed would be paid by the 7th July.

    I just got an email

Thank you for returning the company items listed below today.

However we note the cell phone SIM card is still missing. Please return as soon as possible – with it’s information in tact - as this also belongs to [company].

Please also note, that as per earlier instructions you are required to contact me prior so that we can arrange a suitable time to meet. Because I was not expecting you this morning I was unable to ensure your personal items were available for you to collect. I have now identified where they are stored and will return them when you return the SIM card.
    To which I replied

The SIM card was thrown in the bin on the 15th of June after I let Vodafone know that they could deactivate the SIM card associated with the mobile number [number].
As SIM cards are one use devices, it was turned into a useless piece of plastic. Even if it could be found at the landfill you would not be able to use it again as a SIM card.

[Co-Worker] has the contacts required with Vodafone in order to put [number] on a new SIM card, and is the correct procedure in transferring a number between persons.
You are also incorrect in your statement that the SIM card belongs to [company] – they actually belong to the Tele-Communications provider which in this case is Vodafone.
Please check your facts before sending emails like this again.

This is also the last communication I will have with yourself, [Boss] or [Boss] on any matter relating to [company].
I look forward to seeing my personal items returned – you know my personal address and I expect to see those items in a courier parcel within the next 3 business days.

    Brett
So, highly suspect they are not only going to keep my personal items but screw me over on 2 weeks normal pay and over 3 weeks holiday pay.

They're either really cocky, really stupid or a little of both.
