I arrived home from out of the country on Wednesday last week, on the way into my driveway (which is about 200m long so I don/t expect the postie to go down it, theres also a 1.8m height limit on the driveway so he probably can't) I got a call from the parcel contractor, letting me know that they had tried to deliver the parcel the day before, obviously couldn't, but they wanted to arrange a time when I would be home to recieve it because the post office had refused to recieve it due to it's size. I arranged to be home between 2 and 4, which was a little awkward but OK. And btw, next time I'm at my local PO I should complain about their shoddy customer service...
in the morning I went to the post office to pick up another parcel and there were a total of 3 parcels waiting for me, one of which was the one I was supposed to be waiting at home for.
the nice lady at the PO said that the two large ones, one of which I didn't even have a card for, had been there since the 5th and 8th respectively and it was the 11th.
so I have no idea what the contractor had been talking about, he never did show up between 2 and 4 and called from a blocked number so I could never call him back. all a little too wierd for me.
Just open my AM-24 silas breakdown and as I was applying the stickers which is a pain I noticed when I got to the feet that the stickers didn't match. So at first I thought that they had cut the stickers wrong and on closer inspection realised that he has 2 right feet!so I checked my original breakdown to see if this was a QC issue. But no, they are ok. So have spent the last 2HRs shaping the feet so he can stand up properly, I wish that these things would be caught before they are packaged as it is not that hard to see if they are right, just goes to show that sloppy work does get past and especially when we are paying good money for these products and they send our stuff with issues like this is a shame and disheartening as a collector.

Hasbro keeps using cheaper and cheaper factories... and since most regular kids probably wouldn't notice or care if a short-lived toy in their possession has two of the same hands or feet, Hasbro wouldn't really care if the small portion of dedicated collectors come across a defect. They know that we keep collecting the toys, and even if we were able to return them to a retailer (as most of us import now to save money or get the toys we missed), it becomes the retailer's problem, not Hasbro's.
This is why Hasbro is foolish to take on a quality company like Lego, as Lego is just way out of their league.

It just is frustrating, that there QC is so bad and I know that using cheap factories is a way of keeping costs low for a bigger profit but do they realise that there brand is suffering for cheap quality.
It's like buying a new car with one tyre missing. I guess it makes you appreciate the way they used to be made.
hasbro taking on lego with the Kreo, that would have to be like turning up to a gun fight with a knife. Lol.

Has there been generally more QC issues with toys that are packaged in robot mode as opposed to alt mode?
I'd imagine that having to transform the actual toy to its end purpose would require one extra step, and make it pretty hard to ignore an issue like swapped limbs.

Now that you mention it, most my TF that have incorrect parts were packaged in robot mode. But IIRC, wasn't MP Lambor packaged in alt mode? There were quite a few QC issues i read about when he first came out. Perhaps some incorrect parts are able to slip through as a result of transformation, ie fists that fold in etc like my reissue Divebomb.
Possibly, but have already shaped foot for him to stand?Originally Posted by GoktimusPrime
