I've never really cared about a Hasbro MP box before, because most of them are just oversized blister packs. This will be only one of two Hasbro MP boxes that I've not thrown out (the other being MP10 Optimus Prime).
Anyway, I've already packed it into my luggage which isn't hard shelled. We do have a hard shelled luggage (bought it in Kyoto actually for the express purpose of lugging back all the Transformers I'd bought in Japan in it, and it did a marvellous job in keeping them safe), but naturally we didn't bring it because my wife doesn't trust Chinese luggage handlers and is afraid that the hardshell case might get scratched or dented. Personally I don't care if the case gets damaged, as long as the contents are safe!
Damn the Japanese for making such a beautiful looking luggage case that my wife doesn't want to see get wrecked!

On a couple of occasions I've had large TFs boxes as carry-on luggage, and they've faired better than checked-in luggage usually does. Mostly because I have more control over what it comes in contact with. One was the Kreo Devastator Vs Ironhide set (all the way from America - it was too big to fit in my luggage), and one was the BH Ultimate Optimus from Sydney.

Best thing to do is take as much as you can in a carry on box, such that you occupy an entire overhead compartment, so no one will even try jamming something in there. Reserve seats and get in early!

Yeah I prefer carrying TF's in carry-on myself and they have generally fared much better than items in checked-in and even posted due to the control factor. If you have a bag that take up the entire depth of the overhead locker and is reasonably rigid then your contents are safe. However I've seen some of horrible ways cabin crew and other passengers have tried to cram everything in up there thus I still wouldn't be comfortable recommending overhead lockers to anyone else.

I bought my 2011 Botcon box set back as carry on.
LA to Vancouver to portland to vancouver to LA to sydney. wrapped in bubblewrap carried in a paper shopping bag. and while in airports it was wrapped in my arms.

Arrrgh! Australia Post or customs (who ever is to blame) are taking soooo long with my Robot Kingdom parcel. Tracking Status on the hong kong mail website says it is 'Arrived and is being processed' for about 5 days now. This is the longest I've ever had to wait and not happy.

Basically destroyed my hands turning an area on our hobby farm the old owners had as a tip into a big vege patch for all my vine veges such as watermelon, cucumbers, pumpkins, rockmelon etc.
Came out this morning and bloody rabbits have been at my new seedlings!

I've faced the same problem with purchases from RK. Took over a week once it arrived in Australia according to the tracking website.Arrrgh! Australia Post or customs (who ever is to blame) are taking soooo long with my Robot Kingdom parcel. It's Australia Post that's holding it up (I believe). The courier delivers the parcel to your designated address (eg home), which requires a signature. If you aren't at the designated address at time of delivery then the parcel gets stored at your local Australia Post Office. The problem is that the collection card takes forever to reach your letterbox to inform you that you need to collect the parcel from the allocated local Post Office!!!! One way I get around this is to call my local Post Office to check if there is a parcel for my attention. If so, just pop in & present ID with name & address, such as Driver's Licence. This cuts out the waiting time for the collection card to arrive. Why Australia Post doesn't just place the collection card in the letterbox there and then if no one is home? Argh... frustrating indeed.
I find my parcel from BBTS gets dropped on my front door if I'm not at home. It's so much faster. No signature is required (but I guess there is an element of risk). One time, it was placed behind my rubbish bin and away from prying eyes. It was a large box. The guy left a quick note in the letterbox to tell me where the parcel was located. Fantastic!!!!
