I've done that for most of the old games, just sone aren't playing nice atm.

I haven't tried Mechwarrior yet, but some aren't as easy as dragging over to Dosbox. Toonstruck and Outlaws I need assistance with at least.

Maybe I'm just not used to using the mouse in a flight sim. I'm more of a joystick man

And I wish they would remake it with new graphics and leave the stories and missions the same. A sequel would indeed be good.

Well, I can tell you now that part 1 of your difficulties is that your trying to run DOS-based programs written in the 90s, on a computer running Windows 8 (Well known to be unfriendly towards backwards compatibilty for even Vista-era software) which only has an emulated (poorly) version of DOS - But we'll see what we can work out.

Speaking of wii, I just sold mine. It's funny as I look back on it, since I have ended up playing it almost daily, pretty much exclusively on Mario Kart with the missus. The motion control steering was the only way I could rope her into playing it and she really liked it.

Had our last game today Funny since it came out in 2008, I didn't get it until maybe 2009/10. That's still a good 3/4 years of gameplay from that bugger.

The only other game I have match that would be Various Street Fighters and Ultima V (which I am still trying to finish...)

I bought a Wii (cheap) to play a couple of games, and have just started another of them: Mario Galaxy. Yep i like 7 years behind. Suffers some of the same flaws I found with Mario 64 but I generally like it. Won't be getting all the stars though.

After that, two more games (Zelda, Galaxy2; and finish Donkey Kong) and I'll try and sell the lot as a bundle for a few dollars.

Don't forget that if your in the market for a wii u later on, you can transfer all of your save data from the wii to the wii u

Use DosBox to play Tie Fighter. I use it with good success as it emulates SoundBlaster, etc.
