I believe that in the site's FAQ section it states that they are 100% PAL compatible versions that they stock... Here it is:

I'm sure the game would work, I just want to be sure I can get the extras (since I am really hoping for extra characters to be made available).

I know it would work too (not a total noob, lol, have been an import gamer since the mid-90's), I just don't know if by buying a UK PAL copy of a game, like MvC3, whether you're then only able to play people from the UK. My only other concern was the same as Paul's: Is DLC locked to particular regions within the PAL system or is PAL just PAL? This is getting confusing, I think I'm going to have a lie down, haha

I haven't imported games before, I just don't feel like paying $90+ for MvC3

DLC should work with a UK copy, it's only US/Asia imports that have the DLC compat issues. Even then, just make a US account...

Call me a tight arse but I'm gonna hold off buying MvC3 to see if they come out with a more complete package later in the year. It's down 20-odd characters from the previous game and I can see DLC making this an expensive overall investment (not to mention I'll be seething having to pay money for something that should have been in the game from day dot).

I didn't realise so many people still buy games at retail.

The only reason I do is because I have store vouchers, otherwise I buy from Ozgameshop.

Indeed, however, is there any difference between PAL regions when it comes to DLC or is it all the same? Further to this, if Paul buys a UK copy of MvC3 on 360 or PS3, will he be able to play Australians or only people from the UK? Questions, questions...

Australia and UK use the same PSN I beleive, so DLC should all be the same..

I'm looking forward to it but I'm Marvel biased. I probably wont use the Capcom characters much
