Finished story mode of Batman Arkham Origins. It felt like it dragged on longer than it should have but the series of battles towards the end were incredible. Now finishing the round up of Enigma datapacks.

I stopped playing Dead Space 2 multiplayer a few months back to knock over the Mass Effect trilogy. Today I got the hankering to go back to it, so at work I checked out youtube clips to see who was playing these days... and every clip from the past couple of months has people using cheats in it. It was getting bad when I left, and based on those clips it's gotten even worse. So disappointing.
Guess I'll stick to Mass Effect multiplayer. At least my kids can play that too.
Same, also current reviews of the next-gen games are saying they're nothing special, only graphically on occasions. It usually takes a year after a console launch before the games start pushing the console and actually stand out. The next few months we'll see the big Wii U games showing up, starting next week with Super Mario World 3D. Can't wait.
John Carmack is leaving iD Software.
From the Kotaku AU article:
John Carmack, co-creator of iconic first-person-shooter Doom and one of the smartest minds in video games, has resigned from the development studio he helped co-found.
As seen as on IGN, Carmack is stepping away from the company where he served as lead programmer on Wolfenstein 3D, Quake and Rage. Id’s official statement, via parent company Bethesda, follows:
This latest move comes after Carmack took on the role of head of technology at Oculus VR, which makes the buzzed-about Rift virtual reality headset. Though Willits essentially says that Id’s always-strong technology development is on a steady course, Carmack’s departure certainly marks the end of an era.“John Carmack, who has become interested in focusing on things other than game development at id, has resigned from the studio. John’s work on id Tech 5 and the technology for the current development work at id is complete, and his departure will not affect any current projects. We are fortunate to have a brilliant group of programmers at id who worked with John and will carry on id’s tradition of making great games with cutting-edge technology. As colleagues of John for many years, we wish him well.” -Tim Willits, Studio Director, id Software
I wanted to remain a technical adviser for Id, but it just didn’t work out. Probably for the best, as the divided focus was challenging.

Sorry for lateness of my reply.... My wife's been sick and I've had to look after her.
Really like it so far, dashboard wise its a bit different to the 360 and that's taking a little to get use to. I've only bought one game so far though.... So I'm probably not the best judge on that side of things.
Forza 5 is awesome though![]()
