I've finally started to watch Hawai 5 0. It's pretty good. My two main gripes are that the lead cop is too much of a supercop and there is too much filler shots of surf and girls in bikinis etc.

Yeah I watch that too - it's a show with great production value and is growing on me, but I have a feeling it's becoming just another police procedural.

There's one show that I absolutely loved but then got canceled which just devastated me - Veronica Mars. All 3 seasons followed her throughout high school and college using her amateur detective skills and then there was meant to be a 4th season where she moved into FBI training - and she finally got to use a gun (in the promo). Kristen Bell finally became a kickass FBI-agent only to have her show canceled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel the same way about Star Gate: Universe dude, was is it with Americans these days and canceling shows on or immediately after their 3rd season!?!

Ratings. TV Networks can't risk having shows that don't generate enough viewership otherwise they don't get paid, considering the current state of the American economy even good shows have to get axed. It's a tough world out there for TV...

Hawaii 5-0 is becoming too generic, just another cop-show clone. It's losing viewership in the US as it's same-old same-old except in Hawaii setting. I too prefer NCIS, but I'm more of a NCIS:LA fan as it's more action based.
