Most people say this is a great energon mould and I like the homages but I wish there was more contrast (esp. in the teal and magenta) in the colours, the bright colours are looking very pastel.. ish in most botcon pics so far.

Sky-Byte is a must have for me too.

Sky-Byte is one of the most unique bad guys in a quarter of a century of Transformers. He likes poetry, singing, takes personality tests, is desperate for approval and approaches everything in insanely creative ways. He's been a major character in three dozen Transformers episodes and yet he's only ever had one toy that was never released in Australia, incidentally. (And it's a recolour of one of the worst moulds in Transformers history, with a beast mode that can only swim around in circles).

Gnaw is a generic Sharkticon who vaguely did something once with Wheelie in the Dreamwave comics and has already had one decent toy that was released in Australia.

Gnaw might be a nice bonus, but releasing the character of Sky-Byte in a decent mould is just fantastic.

I know what you mean about Sky-Byte's Beast mode as I've got the Beastwars figure, lol, that is one thing I did feel when I first got hold of the figure was that he seems permanently fixed on chasing his tail.

Well Skybyte was a repaint I think many of us were expecting since the original toy's release.

This is a great repaint though, another fantastic toy I'll likely never own.

Sky-Byte's much improved mouldwise over the plagued-with-sh*tty-tolerances TMII Cybershark, and has a much better paint job, to boot. Which isn't to say I'm not keen on the homage to such an awesome character.

What Sky Shadow and dirge said pretty much summed it up.

G1 Gnaw in a G2 theme set?? Well at least he suits his new mold, but would have been better in a potential future 86' Movie themed Botcon/Exclusive set

About time these got some repaints, though I never did pick up the mold. Not a fan of the colour choices on either and a strange pick for a G2 set.
