    Question G1 DVD sets.

Guys, with all the different G1 sets that are available, how does one diside on what set/s to get? I myself, have got, I think all the madman boxed sets either, bought for me by family or close friends, with the exception of the seperate G1 series boxes(with the different coloured boxes, Green, Red, Silver Etc...)That I bought myself. I have also picked up some over seas sets, like this one.

And have just had bought for me another set as a welcome home gift from my mum, dont ask why, she just did it.

This is the set she got me..

But if you were to go out looking for a G1 set, on the net or in shops, what would you be looking for in your sets? And what little extras would aid in your buying of said set?

I'm completely satisfied with the Madman boxsets and can't see myself buying others e.g. Shout Factory. They also have some great extras on them and exclusive Australian content.

Well decisions wise if I didnt have the first released sets - the different colored pack - silver , grenn etc. I wouldve settled to a set that would be good for display and would fit my dvd stand. Pricing would also be a factor Id consider, coz if a set cost more than the other ( since their contents should be the same) why is it so, is it just because of the tin box or there more extras etc.

As it stands Im quite content with the box sets Ive got so even if I id see new releases, it doesn't entice me to buy at all, since I think it would be superfluous to do so.

The Shout Factory sets, easily. Has the best audio and video quality presentation of the series to date, and a better array of extras. Plus, they don't have the unnecessary extra sound effects that Rhino inserted on their releases (these extra sound effects are also heard on the Madman sets).

When I bought the Madman set there was 50% off everything, so I'm happy with my $65.00 box set.

Yep, I'd have to say the Madman Collector's Tin Boxset with G1 Style packaging, it just looks awesome and it's Aussie!.

I'm happy with the Madman set, an excellent Australian release.

I've yet to get (or see) the Madman release of Transformers: The Movie on Blu-Ray, but have heard good things.

Not to mention that the Madman boxset does not have many of the animation errors that were present in the Rhino release.
