Motorcycle Drone is quite show-accurate, so he does look quite Beast Machines. I don't think he looks movieverse at all really. Unlike Thrust and Tankor, the Motorcycle Drone and Tank Drone figures were created _after_ the show was made, thus are more show-like than their General counterparts.

Indeed they did... but the Vehicons weren't quite as bizarre as the Maximals, and consequently tended to sell better than the Maximals (at least in my observation). Of course, Motorcycle Drone (as well as the entire Battle For The Spark line) never came out in Australia.

While the Vehicons' vehicle modes were highly stylised, you could recognise what they were. You look at Motorcycle Drone and you know it's a motorcycle (albeit scifiesque). The problem with a lot of the Maximals was that you'd look at the toys' alt mode and think, "What the <expletive> is that?!?" Silverbolt's a classic example. Technorganic condor my waste disposal unit!
