Read the original text. Your wife's Japanese is really good.
Camping Van was definitely a better translation than Camping Car Type.
I also find it odd that they talk about Hot Rodimus but mention Hot Rod so much. Doesn't confuse too much?

I have to say that MP Rodimus Convoy is looking pretty good about now.

EDIT: For those who care, words above the images of Rodimus Convoy translate as such...
'Rodimus Convoy, who first appeared in [Transformers The Movie], is the sudden evolution of the whole brave warrior Hot Rodimus when the energy of the Crystal of Knowledge, The Matrix, are released. In [Transformers 2010], after Convoy's death, the Cybertron Army work hard to regain Seibatron Sei.
In this Masterpiece, this evolution reappears in the ultimate 4 step transformation that makes it a reality. A Masterpiece that Transformer Fans worldwide have been waiting for, the Cybertron 2nd generation Supreme Commander, has awakened!

Hehe, my wife's japanese so her japanese ought to be pretty good! That said, she sometimes struggles with nerdy things about toys and games, so she was pleased to read your comment

    LOL
Your wife is Japanese. Lucky dog you.
My missus, who's Caucasian is currently in Japan teaching English but that being said, I met her in Uni through Japanese class, the only reason I understand any Japanese. Also... I watch lots of Japanese shows... without subs for practice.

    Just tell your wife, トランスフォマーの大ニューズはたのむ。トランスレション本当にありがとうございました。

    Pardon some corrections:

トランスフォマー ---> トランスフォーマー What you wrote was "Transfomers" rather than "Transformers"

トランスレション ---> there's no such word. I believe the word you're looking for is 翻訳 (ほんやく)

Perhaps a better way to phrase what you're trying to say may be: 「トランスフォーマーの大ニューズの翻訳は今までわざわざありがとうございました。本日から他のトランスフ ォーマーの新情報を翻訳してもらってよろしくお願いします。」 then insert a bowing at your desk emoticon like this m(__)m

    (^_^)

For any other questions or comments about the Japanese language, or if you just want to practice communicating in Japanese, I invite you to use the Japanese Conversation thread

Yeah... I personally hate typing in Japanese... go fig.
And I respectfully disagree with the katakana form of Translation. I have seen it before and a Japanese friend assures me that while, yes, they don't use it often, they still do use it.
However, you have a good point, your sentence is a zillion times better than what I said initially... I was being lazy. ごめん。I do like your emotion-con though.

BTW, back on topic (which went out due to me, my bad), would people prefer the US version, without the trailer and with Firebolt (?) or the Takara version with the Winnebago (or Camping Car) accessories?
Personally, I prefer Rodimus Convoy cos without the trailer, what is the point of the ability to transform Hot Rod into Rodimus Prime?

For me? - Space Wagon all the way!

Yes Takara's Rodimus Convoy (Masterpiece Rodimus Prime) will cost more to acquire, but IMO it's most definitely worth it for the fact that the engineers have done so bloody well on it that they deserve that little bit extra.

I'm not surprised by Hasbro's move to issue a 'slimmed' release of the figure, MP-04 shelf-warmed in Targets here for quite a while and I doubt that Hasbro US/UK/AU would like to see a repeat of that.

It's unfortunate that the Western release of the figure would cost so very much, but I believe half the fun in obtaining a figure is the Hunt and there are plenty of online opportunities to it pick up. If that fails, then the Domestic release can be a fall-back plan.
