I think for 1480JPY ($19) it's an okay toy... but by no means fantastic. I guess it was Takara's attempt at making a no-frills version of Masterpiece Convoy for kids (remember that MPs in Japan are for Ages 15+).

That's interesting, cos as a kid I got Downshift and wished I had Overdrive! Grass is always greener on the other side.

Poseability-wise Classics Dinobot works well enough for me.

Although one of the shoulders and the dino arms pop out too easily in robot mode under excessive force (which happens a lot during playtime )

Universe Powerglide - lights and sounds were alright but robot mode and trasformation is terrible

WFC Optimus and Bumblebee - transformation isnt fun. back kibble is annoying. optimus is small and unepic.

I don't own the classics grimlock mold so I can't comment.

i love firing his missle in beast mode but the arms hanging out of his chest are really weird. they should have been hidden better, really.

The alt-mode head action is supposed to mimic how real owls can turn their heads 180 degrees.

Please allow me to open my mouth and change feet!

Yeah, I've handled both the Universe Dinobot and Cheetor moulds and didn't like them. No amount of repainting from Henkei would save them for me.

25th anniversary optimus prime. Was really excited until I noticed the colour. I don't know what shelf he belongs on.

Cybertron primus is another weird one. I like the concept and character but when all is saidand done I paid $200 for a ball. Head slap at that.

I think Henkei Dinobot is decent, certainly a more character accurate and nice modern representation. However it does not represent 10+ years of design progression but still passable IMO.

The new Cheetor mold is really crap however and several steps bellow the decade old toy! It is very 'Archeresque' with little real engineering and heavily compromised by a stupid gimmick. It's more in line with the crapfest we saw in BM. The Henkei version however is 10 times better than Universe due to the paint job alone but it is still a crappy mold.

I don't doubt you're right on that one SilverDragon, but 360 degrees?
