I don't know if you have him already but Henkei or Universe Cyclonus is a pretty insprirational figure which may help to re-spark your interest. ROTF scout class Ransack is another good one I can recommend highly.

I collect Encores, MP line, Classics, other special stuff from takara, I collected most of the LAM stuff, ROTF I only have one toy thanks to griff, but when all the toys first came out, I wanted all of them, but had no money. But now that I have a good flow of money, I just cant seem to want to buy anything.

I love G1 characters, thats why i like to collect the classics, MP and encores. What goes threw my head. Do I have the money, yes, sold lol. All characters I like really, even if i have only just been introduced to them. Transformers in general I love to bits, but I just cant get any motivation to get anything new.

Just because you don't want to buy anything new doesn't mean that you can't continue being a passionate TF fan.

As I said before, my TF toy buying was at all time lows during 1993-1995 and 2002. To this day my G2 collection remains quite small. But that _doesn't_ mean in the slightest that my passion for Transformers ended during those years. During 1993-95 I did read the G2 comics and of course continued to re-read my old G1 comics, watch G1 cartoons and play with all my old toys.

Being a TF fan isn't just about actively buying new toys all the time - it's the love for the franchise.

Yeah I agree, if you have other hobbies or interests attend to them, only collect when you really want to.

And enjoy the dryspell while it lasts for some people like me who were excited by the ROTF line and collected quite a few toys, as well as some from other toy lines that hit this year like GI Joe ROC, couple that with the end of Henkei classic at the start of the year.. and well I'm hoping for a dry spell to slow down. I'm glad there's nothing I'm after till Bludgeon is released cause a break is needed.

And I to find my interest in TF collecting goes up and down from year to year, this year has been busy, but last year was quiet I sold as many TF's as I aquired, though I still attened meets and followed this board. And even If I loose interest in a line I never seem to loose interest in collecting. While I wasn't collecting TF's much last year, I did pick up a lot of 25th Anniversary Joes.

Continuing to be a TF fan doesn't require u to buy stuff. I think it's a time that gives u an opportunity to enjoy the stuff u've already got that doesnt get enough love usually cos ur too buys acquiring.

To me it appears ROTFs that lull for a lot of people. But I think there's a large part of TF fandom that's all about buying (says me ) but I think a lull is good b/c it could get ppl to focus on more creative endeavours about TFs like customs, fan fiction, art etc.

i always go through "phases" in what i spend alot of my income on at one given time and it switches between Transformers, Vintage Spiderman Comics and Cars im about to buy another car so for the next year i'll probally spend most of my income on that although i'll be getting some vintage comics first (its been nearly a year since i have )

Enjoy the Dry Spell now. There's a lot of other things you can do which you might find enjoyable, it gives you time to tinker with the stuff you already have and you might be surprised to find a gimmick or two you haven't found before. It's a pleasant breather for you to take time, say, rearranging your display, playing with the figs you already have, as some may have gotten neglected, cleaning up your figs and shelf spaces, taking time to think of what direction you might wanna take your collecting to and as other have said give you a chance to look into the other things/hobbies you do and give these a bit of attention. Everyone goes for a break every now and then, no matter how good a thing is, if its always in your face kinda thing it'll quickly do lose its novelty. Abscence ( only short one sheheh) makes the heart grow fonder.

Yeah, the other funny thing is, while getting a cool toy compells one to get more and complete the collection, sometimes it seems the more you get the less special each individual is. Sometimes its good to just stop and enjoy.

Hey!!!! I always looks young because of my chubby babyface, that and I play with toys.

    Someone needs a haircut though.

I wouldn't say I've had as much passion in buying TFs as much as I did a couple of years back. But my reasons started solely because the move to city and getting a car sort of drained all the funds away.

Maybe dig up some old cartoons, comics and books to bring back all the good memories TFs had brought you.
