Yep - my copy for at least a decade was the one I taped off Channel 7 at my Gran's house back when it was a midday movie in the '80s. I was poised and ready to cut out the ads the whole time and even drew and coloured my own case for it. One of my other Transformers home videotapes amused my then grown-up friends when they came over years later and read my primary school handwriting which looked to them like "TRANSPORNERS - DO NOT TAPE OVER!"

I do remember it being on, we taped it as well, nearly eroded the cassette that I watched it so much

I also recall they showed the Rock Lords movie after it (only coz that got taped as well )

They used to show Transformers The Movie on Channel 7 on the morning of New Year's Day every year for several years for a while. That was one thing I used to look forward too on New Year's - watching TFTM!

They used to have TF:TM on TV quite regularly actually... I had a couple of versions on tape as a kid (as well as the Machine Men and Care Bears movies )

Pity that its on channel 9. I'd much prefer channel 7 or 10 because ch9 just screws up all good programs with excessive advertising
