Target's having a sale on Animated Leaders, being sold for only $35.

I finish my HSC tomorrow, and am considering getting Megatron (because I have a thing for robots with swords) for a end-of-exam treat (before going on a massive sugar rush with friends and doing karaoke). Is the toy good enough to pay $35 for?

I think it is. Nice helicopter and robot mode.

Look at this way: You can get Megatron for a third of the regular retail price.

A big discount often makes me buy stuff I normally wouldn't (such as Universe Storm Cloud recently).

I paid a lot more for animated Megs, and came away happy, at $35 its a steal.

And if you decided to buy one, don't forget you may want to consider a little adjustment to make him more poseable.

Considering the price compared to the regular price, the fact that I've been wanting it for a while but have been deterred by the price, and the fact that I want to get something EPIC for a post-HSC thing, yeah, Megs will be mine.

My post-HSC toy was Energon Omega Supreme. My mother had bought it early for Christmas, but I saw the large box in the car, and she decided it could be my post-HSC present.

Which is cool, because it then meant that I ended up getting 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime for Christmas instead!

Animated Megs has some really awesome-sounding ratchet joints, a quality paint job, and smooth high-quality plastic all-around!! There's a good review by Peaugh on YouTube if you need it <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NtGDDc_s1Y>.

Hope you did well in your HSC!

There doesn't appear to have been any more news other than the Amazon listing.

I have a noob question to ask! In the Transformers movies, how do they get the vehicles to drive around but without appearing to have drivers inside them? I know this must be like a really old special effect cos it's been done so many times before on film and TV (e.g. K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider etc.) but I've always wanted to know _how_ they do that?

Are the vehicles remote controlled or are there stunt drivers in them who are hidden from the camera or somehow optically (nowadays digitally) removed? When I was a little kid I assumed that KITT was radio controlled, but now that I think about it, I don't think I ever had any evidence or reason to assume this. And now when I think about it, it wouldn't it probably be stunt drivers? I can't imagine someone driving a Concept Camaro on two wheels via radio control.
