    Default IDW Bumblebee #2 Preview

Looks like they have retconed Blurr's personality to be more like the G1 cartoon which not only seems to go against what we saw in AHM but also the Ongoing comic!

Personally this change in Blurr is a little too frustrating to read but I can deal if the overall story is good.

I am begining to believe that IDW is as factionalized as the NSW Labour party with each faction doing their own thing whenever they want even if it contradicts what the other guy is doing.

I think you may have hit the nail on the head there, IDW was semi-factionalized before, when they had Furman as the main writer, it seemed as though any other writers kinda did whatever they wanted anyway, ignoring most of his work (Megatron Origins anyone?)
It's a case of pretty bad editing work by Tipton.

Blurr's redesign jarred me for a second, and I get that his "speech text" is meant to portray his speed of talking, but it's very hard to read. Much prefer this series to the ongoing (in terms of story and art), but bring on Wreckers.

Theoretically, Blurr's 'manner of speech' is exactly the same as it was in the UK comics, so if we could understand it as nine year-olds surely we should be able to manage it now. But sadly, Zander Cannon has filled Blurr speech bubbles up to overflowing with repetitive verbal diarrhoea rather than meaningful dialogue. Oh well - presumably Blurr won't have anywhere near as much to say in the rest of the story as he got in the first three pages of this issue anyway.

I think "bad editing work by Tipton" is a tautology in much the same way as "good editing work by Tipton" would be an oxymoron.
