    Winner: All Hail Megatron (31%)
Runner ups: Maximum Dinobots (23%), Spotlights (11%)

    Additional comments:
"Far too sporadic throughout the year, and now we have an on-going series where the 'bots are bloody ugly! *sigh*"

"To IDW: more consistency, less rebooting."

"IDW overall sucked a lot this year. I hope that Ongoing gets its act together. At least Bumblebee issue one was more than decent and the new Wreckers comic seems to have a lot of promise"

"I don't get much into comics because someday, someone will lend me to try their comics and then I will get hooked to it afterwards, buying every issue that'll be released. :P"

"I loved what IDW did with AHM, (sans coda) It was a joy to read, it was well scripted and the art was gorgeous. But as far as this new 'ongoing' series is concerned, I honestly think they've dropped the ball. I've read two issues and I'm just not interested in new transformers comics anymore. I AM DISAPPOINTED WITH DRIFT'S EXISTENCE. Shane McCarthy is otherwise a pretty good writer! In the process of acquiring the titan books tpbs."

    "Great stuff!"

"I enjoyed AHM, but it's far from great... comics were lacking this year"

"a lot of damn good books came out this year"

FWIW I told Wildman about coming second in this poll and he's said "Cool."

That's a little unfair, as were a lot of the comments that arose around AHM. I thougt it was funny, well written, and actually held together with itself and the rest of the IDW cannon to that point quite well. Never read Max. Dinobots (missed the TPB release) but I'd say AHM was one of the better comics this year.

    Not quite. :P

But I personally found AHM as a whole to be quite a fun read. Moreso than than the Marvel re-releases. I also find all the talk of it being a reboot kinda annoying as you read it and see how much is tied in with what Furman had written before. I feel it's more of a redirection of the franchise.

I can see how the initial sense of mystery that they were trying to convey would haveb annoyed a lot of people, but in the end all the answers tied back to the groundwork that Furman had already laid. The one thing that annoyed me is that Megatron, for no apparent reason, no longer stuck to the previous idea of Infiltration phases. Part of me wants to know why Megatron did this, but the other part of me knows I never will.

I actually have more of an issue of how the current ongoing series relates with the previous work (including AHM) than I did relating AHM to the Infiltration series. But maybe that's because I read it as a TPB.

As for Don Fig winning best art. I actually find I've enjoyed EJ Su's and Guido Guidi's art a lot more than his over the last couple of years. And Nick Roche's art has always been fun and expressive. Sure Don's art is more intricate and detailed but that isn't always a good thing...
