They look nice. I agree about Tracks' flight mode looking sub-par and I hope those missiles fold away in car mode. The grey on Wreck Gar looks especially cheap, even by Hasbro standards. :/ I hope the final version won't look that bad.

Straxus looks quite nice, though Darkmount's colours are more G1-accurate.

The toy generally looks good but seems to suffer from a recurring trait of robots with shoulders in the wrong place.

    Oh... My... F!@$ing... God!!!

    Kup looks F@#$ing Awesome!
    Vehicle Mode: Ute (Check )
Robot Mode: Ole' Bastard Bot (Check )
The face sculpt really does an awesome job at paying homage to Kup, the face even looks like an old bloke! - I can't get over this figure, the engineers have truly shone Today.
The colours are spot on too!, man, this figure is gonna sell like freaking Hot cakes!.

    Jazz!
OMG Jazz has his pop out Subwoofers!

    Tracks!
Oh man Tracks, your 'Flying Car' mode is so poorly executed, I'll be purchasing you regardless though.

    Perceptor!
You look more like a travelling Science Lab than any Microscope-Tank could possibly hope to be.
I'm also digging your Cartoon acurate face sculpt!

    Wreck-gar!
"You check in, but you don't check out!" - Oh man, I'll be checking into a checkout asap to acquire your Eric Idle greatness!
That War Axe of yours looks Sweet!

    United Straxus...
Those Sky Blue paint apps, eww!, Straxus those Sky Blue paint apps - EWW!!!

    United Lugnut!
Now that is just complicating my already complicated issue with picking up this guy - this paint scheme is Kick-Ass and Takara have finally found a use for that shade of Green from MP Stargreen.
I still can't figure out where I'd display you though... Argh!

Man, 2010/2011 is gonna be one helluva expensive financial year indeed! - So many Awesome figures coming out, both Official and 3rd Party...

Why did TakTom paint Lugnut's head the wrong colour?

I am hoping that they are using Hasbro pictures as preliminaries just as they used Universe for the preliminary Henkei announcements.

Otherwise there isn't much difference on most figures between the Hasbro and Takara-Tomy versions. I don't like Track's falme decal on his hood and there is too much 'Hasbro grey' overall.

Kup looks excellent. Much better than I expected.

Interesting that TakTom went with the Marvel issue 18 cover's all-blue colour scheme for Straxus.

Lugnut is now in the more defined United line which is the direct successor to Henkei which was also a much more defined 'classics' line than Universe.

It is safe to say that Lugnut belongs to 'Classics' just as much as Drift, Hot Shot, Dinobot or Cheetor. In regards to his 'movie' looks, the character is supposed to stand out among the crowd. Despite his Animated styling in that line, he still stood out due to his very robotic design in the same way that Shockwave stands out among the G1 Decepticons or Whirl stands out among the G1 Autobots.
