It's quite interesting to see how games have evolved over the years. I remember booting up the M.A.S.K game for the C64, it was s simple l-r scrolling platformer, but the catch was your mask had limited ammo and enemies would randomly fall from the sky. You couldn't shoot up either. Its almost like the game was a reasonable concept, but when put into action it just sucked ass. AAah. the days when a game would be programmed by one guy.. (like the TF game on c64). Almost like they made the game long by making it hard instead of putting in a story or decent gameplay.

Interesting fact. Robocop by ocean was a big seller on the c64. Problem was though on the 4th level (in the drug factory) the time limit was so harsh that it was practically impossible to complete the level. The programmer had only managed to do it once! I only did with cheating. Good game, with nice graphics though!

For price comparison though, I remember buying a disk game for the commodore for $40. I forked out $110 for Sonic and Knuckles when it first came out, and Landstalker on the Megadrive cost me $150!! I think because it was first 32meg cartridge game. There's no way I would pay $150 for a normal game now. Maybe if it was a really cool special edition, or a rare Saturn game with historical significance *cough* Final Fight Revenge *cough* $180.....

This game is a classic. It's full of rock hard platforming, it's got great graphics, heaps of collectibles to collect = heaps of replay, time trial mode, 2 player mode, image/artwork/video extras. I highly recommend it. Goldeneye 007 was my Wii game of the year but then this baby turned up. Go buy a Wii just for this. And then grab Super Mario Galaxy 2.

I bought the standalone version of Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare today. It got off to a good start but then I was attacked and the game glitched putting me on the inside of a building that I wasn't supposed to be able to enter, and I couldn't get out. 20 mins of intro/scene setting that I now need to replay. That's not so much fun but I belive the original game had some issues like this too?

NBA Jam is one of the better 4 player games on the Wii, spent about 4 hours playing it with mates last night, unlocked a lot of content.

Goldeneye is okay as a multiplayer, but the solo campaign is not as fun or good as the original.
All the different control schemes and available tweaks are awesome, but I struggled to pick the game up again for solo play after I completed the first level.

Kirby's Epic Yarn however is great, I'm about 60% through it now, have to finish it before Donkey Kong Country and Epic Mickey are released.

Recently bought the 25th Anniversary Red Wii bundle and OMG I didn't know I was missing out on so much fun until now!!!

Also got Mario Kart brand new from eBay and so much cheaper, plus Toy Story Mania from Kmart with 3 D glasses.

Other games which I went on a game shopping frenzy on include:
    - Prince of Persia, Forgotten Sands
    - Scooby Doo, Spooky Swaps
    - Virtua Tennis 2009

It's a lovely shade of red, plus the black wiimotes look nice with the set too!

May I recommend hunting down the Lego Harry Potter game (or Lego Batman or Star Wars, but HP is the best of the lot), and since I know you like Toy Story, the Toy Story 3 Wii game is pretty fun too, and getting pretty cheap in price now.

I am currently listening to a band called Undercode. And it makes me want to play Serious Sam again. They did the battle music in the first Serious Sam. In fact, I got into them after playing the game heh.

Smash bros brawl (or even Melee).

Ive had some cracking times on them with 4 players (although I've not had a game on it for about two years now)
I'm really just here for the free food and open bar.
