Not sure about the original, but the DS light is region locked. I own 3 and they're all region locked. Had to buy a DSTT card to play roms. I've heard some games aren't region locked, whish is why some overseas games are playable on all DS's.

The ridiculous thing is that 3D Realms had 3 quarters of a complete game when they collapsed which is sad for 2 reasons: 1. They were so close to the finishing line it wasn't funny, and 2. It took them 12 years to get to that point.
Thanks Anubis that Gearbox Interactive picked up the reins, finished it, polished it and is finally allowing The King to once again Kickass and Chew Bubblegum!
(You should have no problems at all running it too dude)

Oh. OH. This would make me very happy.
Fortunately my PSOne disc works in my PS3 so I'm still able to play one of the greatest games ever, but I can't be bothered hooking up my PS2 just to play the sequel, and I've never actually played the third. Veeeery happy.

I was just about to buy MGS from the PSOne section of the store but will hold off now!
My original MGS has a scratch on the second disc which meant I was never able to finish the gamePlayed through MGS2 multiple times (loved that game). I never replayed MGS3 (I found it too hard) although it looked pretty. MGS4 is in my pile of games still waiting to be played.
