I prefer the 10th anniversary reissues over original only for colour and the added Transmutate. And I don't like the colour of original Dinobot, Just my preferance.

Buying the cast of Beast Wars is one of my goals as well and I must say that both Verno and Autocon have helped me in this department. Highly recomend both.

Really GD, there's not much I can impart on you that hasn't already been said.

My advice? - If you prefer MIB/MOSC then don't compromise because what you have working for you are 2 simple things IMO:

    1. By limiting your BW collecting preference to show characters, you've drastically reduced the number of figures you'll need as well as the amount of money you'll have to spend.
    2. Whilst the MIB/MOSC BW figures may seem pricey, compare them to any G1 figure of the same status, a MIB Optimus Prime: $355 (including postage) - a MIB Optimus Primal: $140 (considered postage).

Personally, I think if you just pace out your spending/collecting, stick to show characters only and go with the original figures over the Telemochas (As they are the figures you saw and wanted as a kid ), you'll definitely be able to amass a beautiful MIB/MOSC collection and I truly hope you succeed dude because it is something I'd very much like to do down the track myself.

Also, unfortunately for BW figures you'll find it near on impossible to try and find parts to 'build a complete figure' so to speak because unlike G1, unfortunately , spare parts aren't particularly numerous and I'm currently in this situation with a couple of my own figures such as Basic Rattrap, of whom has been mentioned , I thought was complete until closer inspection (I'm missing that blasted gun!).
So yeah, you're kind of restricted to buying 100% complete figures or MIB/MOSC figures if you want a complete and whole collection of figures.

The good thing though is there is a number of well versed BW Collecting members on the board that will gladly help you out where they can and between Verno (Who I've bought from on a number of occasions) and Autocon who are selling a large number of 100% Complete figures - You'll have a large number of figures you'll be able to obtain should you find yourself unfortunately having to go with non MIB/MOSC figures.

Keep us posted though dude and again, if there is anything you need to ask? - Please don't hesitate.

    Oh, by the way...

    Cheers mate.

On that note, I'm looking for optimal optimus on Ebay- it seems prices vary alot. Im looking at a $100 USD MIB one.. but don't know shipping from U.S. There are loose ones for $10

Can anyone give me an estimate- how much would a MIB complete one go for or even misb?

And thats what it all comes down to: Preference.

With the amount of different Transformers available, its important to be informed and know what you're after. Then go after that and make no consessions, even if things aren't readily available.

I own a set of the Takara Telemocha figures and (even though I do have some of the original BW figures for sale, and if you decide to go down that path I'd be more than happy to help you out with what I can) I'd highly recommend them, they are as close to the show colours as you're likely to get and worth tracking down.

Did I just rob myself of a sale? Possibly. But it's important to not just buy the 1st thing you see but to take some time having a look around and then decide.

$80-$100 for a MISB would be a good price. Shipping from the States will add another $25-$35 on top of that becuase the box is big and the figure is heavy.

Loose complete ones are good for $70-$90 depending on condition. Again a few more $ for postage because of the weight.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind getting the telemocha since I prefer that kind of niche appeal - i.e. henkei- more expensive/exclusive but perfectly decoed versions. However... can't find them anywhere - I can't believe there are NONE on Ebay- how rare are they.....

Thanks. Will have to hunt harder.

I had a look at BBTS, HLJ, Toy Arena etc... None of them seem to have the Telemochas in stock anymore. I missed the boat with the Henkei Cheetor and Dinobot and don't want to give in and get the Classic versions because they don't look at nice.

I'm having the same problem, I too am after a MISB TM Op Op but can't find a decent one with reasonable postage.

Hmmm.... Henkei Cheetor is really cheap.. You can get it at retail price at around $20 excluding shipping.- According to HD they are shelf-warming in HK- and are shelf-warming online too. I considered Henkei Dinobot for my collection when I was accumulating Henkei last year- it was around $30 at the time. Probably rarer now and more expensive.

Yeah, there are a few Cheetors about but Dinobot seems to have vanished.

I was hoping more BW incarnations would come from the Henkei line but so far nothing is forthcoming. I would so very much love a new Rhinox figure!

    Wow what a day.

On the weekend I was browsing BW stuff and stumbled on a U.S. ebay seller letting go of all BW show characters- MOSC/MISB. Sounds like a dream right? Obviously I couldn't get em' all...I didn't know if I was ready to spend.

A rush came when I won the seller's auction on a whim for FZ Silverbolt- $15.50 on Sat. Bargain!!, I thought. Then came the shipping quote... $30 odd bucks to ship a deluxe? I was given quote of $55 could ship 8 deluxes and 1 Ultra.

I did preliminary calculations to see how many/which ones I should go for. Today the auctions ended consecutively at around 10:15AM - Smack bang in the middle of my class. All I had to rely on were max bids before hand...(Couldn't use my laptop for Ebay during class/ Don't have any sniping software)

I think I did well in the end. Let me know if I paid more than I should have:

    All are MOSC/MISB.
    Fuzor Silverbolt $15.50
    Basic Rattrap!!!!- $41.10
    Deluxe Dinobot- $40.00
Deluxe Cheetor (probably green or red eyes) $19.99
    Deluxe Rhinox $27.88
    TM Rattrap $20.50
    TM Cheetor $21.50
    Optimal Optimus MISB- $85

    Total $271.47 Not including shipping.
I'm guessing the shipping will be around $100.

This totally blows my budget for this month- probably not buying anything next month if I can help it (But I thought..it's my B'day this month )... so I had to chance it because of the shipping and go for as much as possible.

I'm peeved I got outbid for MOSC Tigatron and Airrazor. Anyhow, they are going to be my next targets after I recover from my wallet being destroyed.

What scared me were the ending prices for predacons... those are going to be a B*TCH to hunt/pay for...
