Donnie Darko... don't watch that if you're feeling mentally exhausted -- it's a good movie, but you'll need your thinking hat on. Not something to watch if you just want some mindless entertainment (I guess that's more like what Michael Bay excels in ).

There's also "Devil" by M. Night Shyamalan (checks Google - yes, I spelt it right! ) - the same director as the Sixth Sense. Apparently that's going to be the first in a series (trilogy?) he's working on.

    M. Night only produced/wrote Devil, the director is John Erick Dowdle.

Tucker & Dale VS Evil you need to get!!!

Goki you just reminded me of another great one...The Village (2004) by M. Night Shyamalan. I can't remember Devil too well (think I was on the turps when I watched it ) so I'll have to revisit that one.

For the Stephen King fans, 1408 (2007) is another one you may want to check out. For me, it started off well with a high intrigue factor but the last half was a bit of a let down (like The Last Exorcism). Still worth seeing though (like The Last Exorcism ).

Yep, watched it last night and I highly rate this film - It's such a welcomed change from the norm and it's highly entertaining.

hhrrrrmmmm. just perused the thread... so many titles I dunno.. but then Im not a scary film watcher .... . Watched a few, Creepers jeepers or vice versa (gobots anyone), The Omen, Exorcist, The Others, but nothing of the newer ones.

It's kinda funny how a lot of the titles are like stating things..... The ring, The Grudge, The Mist, The Fog, whats next the oven toaster

that Tucker and Dale Vs Evil.... I think I shall have to search that one I find it interesting....

Query: is IT scary? .... heard about it, never seen it... but then I kinda find clowns creepy...

It's cool, it's a classic but it's also very dated in a lot of ways : you'll recognise a lot of the actors in the film too.
    (Tim Curry FTW! )

Is the Village the one with the Amish people that lie to their kids about monsters in the woods to protect them from the outside world? When I went to see that I was so creeped out but wanted to know/see more of the monsters. Once I knew the secret I nearly walked out of the movie through bitter dissapointment. Only my wife made me stay and watch the whole thing.

I felt so ripped off with that movie. The same with Signs. Why the hell would aliens invade a planet that is 3/4 covered in a product that can kill them? That would be like Earthlings invading a planet that doesn't have oxygen. Just stupid IMO of course.
HATRED FOR JAMES VAN DER BEEK RISING!

Bout time I put my 2c in lol.

    Phantasm
, and it's sequels, or you can't go past Dead Snow. Or this one I have been recommended by a work mate for being a truly mind screw film.
