More G1 KO Cassettes including the Japanese Dinos?!

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know how much the originals of these sell for these days, like say if you found them in a Japanese collectibles store like Hero Gangu or Mandarake (Hero Gangu's prices are stupidly overpriced IMHO) -- but still, I wonder how they'd compare...

It has started....... I know a pair of the KO's went for well over $1000 in japan recently... poor bugger who ended up winning.

This seller has done the right thing by stating clearly in his auction that they are unofficial reissues & is not claiming they are genuine G1 items magically found in a time capsule. He is simply stating the facts as they stand & anyone who is duped by this seller has only themselves to blame.

I will say that it is somewhat deceptive if you fail to read the full item listing as he is getting rid of his transformers lovingly collected over many years but then says his mate brought them back from Japan.

Lets be realistic the only people who will buy this are collectors & if you don't do your research before buying I can't have much pity on you.

This is not the line that a person looking to start a collection will be going for either.

My friend brought these back from Japan on his latest trip and while they are not original G1 cassettes, they are the best you can get for under $3,000!

The originals command ridiculous prices and these are in BRAND NEW, NEVER TRANSFORMED condition with minty CHROME WEAPONS!!

I do have another set I have opened and played with and the joints are not super tight, though they will hold poses and will display nicely!

These cassettes also combine to form Legout!

The sticker sheets are even unused!

I think it's the term 'Re-Issue' that throws a lot of people off as it has a sound of 'sanctioning' about it, where in reality they are purely stolen property.
I agree that research is key, but these KO's should never of gone for anything over $40 Max IMO.

No doubt it is stolen but calling it an Unofficial Reissue makes it pretty clear to all but the most dim witted of folks.

There is no doubt looking at the quality of the KO's that morally bankrupt sellers will take advantage of this to rip off buyers. That said they are specialist Transformers that only the collectors would target & most people looking to buy these know they are KO's.

I've heard that it's really hard to find KOs in Japan anyway. I've certainly never seen any KOs in Japan. Not impossible, but a lot harder than other places (unlike say China where finding KOs is way easier than finding legit TFs )

KO toys are the best to deal with Always so helpful. Some times I have even been sent extra parts. But still waiting for mine to arrive. Been a slow mail week. Guess they will show with Powerglide next week
