sent someone to go have a look for me, I assumed they would be looking to move them rather than keep with the 269 price.

They are in a big box, 6 or 7 of them with a big red sticker indicating $99. My lackey did not ask if they were further discounted however, it's almost tempting at that price.

because you're new, you don't have access to the members sales thread yet. so my suggestion is to post in a 'SA meetup' thread what you'd like to sell and then be willing to come to a meet and do the actual transaction there.

that way no one will be scammed and you will meet some nice people

Yeah im also willing to meet up with people, prefer to do a personal transaction as post is, to be honest, a pain in the backside.

So, is it fair to say that anything I post as listed for sale, i say interested people pm me, and I can give them my contact details and arrange the more personal transaction?

ok. so i cann0ot register because I apparently already have - hence the user name. i have no activation in my email as i registered over a year ago and there doesnt seem to be a way to resend it. am i stuck in limbo forever.
