I try not to buy toys that look crap, and if I buy something that turns out to be crap, I sell it so it's no longer in my collection. The ten most hated Transformers toys that I have owned at some time are as follows:

    G1 Jazz.

I never wanted this toy. I ordered Prowl, but this turned up. The gun thingy that's supposed to plug into the back is the nadir of G1 Transformerdom.

    Beast Wars Depth Charge.

Seriously, it was like... a decade since G1 and I paid fifty bucks for this brick. With a sword you have to unwedge? And floppy rubber knee things? Buyer: utterly remorseful.

    Beast Wars TM2 Cybershark.

One of the greatest Transformers characters ever (Sky-Byte) was a recolour of one of the line's worst moulds.

    Beast Machines Nightscream.

An utter piece of $#!* that should have been downscaled at least two price points. Not even worth selling - I gave him away to my then-girlfriend's boss's son.

    Beast Machines Beast Riders Che.

I'm sick of people whining that Action Masters didn't transform. Every Action Master item on the shelves included some sort of Transforming gimmick. Do you know what didn't?

    Binaltech Grimlock.

Even worse than not being Transformable is being no fun at all to transform without simultaneously pulling out all your hair. Once this thing was in robot mode, it stayed in robot mode.

    Energon Mega-Dinobot.

This and The Beast is exactly why I want to punch people in the face whenever they suggest the Dinobots should combine. And Swoop was taller than Grimlock.

    Energon Storm Jet.

Hollow, light and weaponless with arms that didn't lock in, this was not worth Deluxe prices. It's barely worth a dollar.

    Energon Prowl.

He looks like My First Transformer and possesses the inherently pointless Powerlinxing compromise of Autobot Energon toys. (This was later redeemed in S.W.A.T. Prowl, who was aesthetically designed to combine with Checkpoint.)

    Animated Blitzwing.

Designed so the plastic couldn't survive being transformed into tank mode, and then built even more incorrectly in the factory.

    Dishonourable mention:

    Beast Wars TM Cheetor.

Cartoons lied to me. This cheetah has a massive hole in his chest when his wings pop out. I hate this actual toy, but the changes to make it Ravage/TM Tigatron saved the mould. And the horseman of the Unicropalypse version was at least in decent colours with a Mini-Con.
