The rapid end to the first series of TFPrime seems to have prompted Hasbro to bring forward the release of Generations toys, so Starscream and others may well be out in the next month. (five months ago they said that Soundwave was meant to be out in January... but things change I guess)

Where did they pull TM2 Meg's alt mode from? I mean really? A dragon? How do you go from a VTOL T-Rex on skates to a mythical creature that hasn't even been thought of yet?

Because dragons are awesome, and it's hard to get much cooler than a VTOL T-Rex with roller skates without delving into mythological creatures or being Bill Watterson.
And by that point the alt-modes in BW had gotten a little silly TBH. TM2 Megs makes about as much sense as Optimal Optimus, and both make as much sense as TM2s in general. I like a lot of the toys but they ain't exactly the height of realism.

All the altmodes are based on actual creatures, even the fuzors are an amalgamation of 2 actual animals.

And then all of a sudden you have a dragon.

I have no problems with dragons. Or TM2 Megs. But (insert drama queen theatrics here), did they understand the line they were crossing? Did they hope to slip it past and no one would notice? Why didnt they throw in a Kraken while they were at it?
