That new Optimus would make a good classics Star Convoy, but I'll have to pass. Not that interested.

That makes this figure quite enticing, but first I'd like to see close ups of the face sculpt

There's close up pics of the head on seibertron.com and TFW. It sort of looks like a younger face to me for some reason. And he's got a bit of a grimace. I get a bit of an optimal optimus vibe too.

I've just had a look, and it does look quite like Primal, maybe from the raised nose and mouth makes the face gorilla-like. He does look younger too, perhaps its because we're used to seeing that face on Animated Prime (albeit, more aggressive looking). Not sure how that will work with Peter Cullen's seasoned voice.

I really, REALLY like Beast Hunters Optimus. Big, chunky, armed to the teeth. And if Takara does a version with clear blue plastic I'll buy that too.

I agree, the bulky chunky look is very appealing. I see alot of potential for repaints. Also with a sword, this Optimus can fight with the FOC Grimlock I hope they do a Megatron as well, and with lots of bulk, plus hand weapon.
