The Botcon Rainmakers were $99 at the convention, whilst TFSS Scourge was only available if you subscribed to the whole service for the set of 6, approx. $400AUD shipped from memory, making each figure to be about $66AUD (you cannot cherry-pick the more awesome figures).
If the prices you quoted above include shipping, then you got a fair (not overly-inflated) deal.

I find I am entertained by the tone they use at TFwiki (personal preference I guess). I am concerned tho that you mentioned earlier that it has errors, how bigger errors are we talking? Could you point some out?
I have missed a lot over the years because I just watched the G1 cartoon as a kid and had about 30 toys, but I didn't see/read/collect anything in between then and when the first Micheal Bay movie sucked me back in. I have huge gaps in my TF knowledge I'm relying on TFwiki to fill since most back catalog Transformers stuff is almost impossible to get.
Nowadays the errors are pretty minor - they have improved on this considerably since they started. I can't think of anything significant off hand, but every now and then I come across something that bugs me, but it's usually small enough that I just roll my eyes and forget about it.But the shamelessly subjectively biased and irreverant tone is something I've never liked and most likely never will. Is some of it funny? Sure. But I don't agree that it's the role of a wiki to entertain, it should be there to inform. <--- again, just my opinion.
And like I said, reading TFwiki alone can never give you a complete knowledge of Transformers as much as just watching the shows/movies, reading the comics/books and playing with the toys yourself. I mean, I can read all the Wikipedia entries on the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, but it will never be as good as reading the books myself. And to be fair, wikis aren't intended to be as good as directly exposing yourself to the source materials either -- they're just a quick, easy and convenient reference source, and for that purpose they do a good job and despite my difference of opinion with their chosen style, I do respect and appreciate the work that goes behind constructing and maintaining the wiki.
But it's easy for me to say this because I've had a continuously unbroken obsession with Transformers for 29 years --- it is a very good resource for people who are new to Transformers to do a quick catch up on things they've missed. But if you want anything in depth, then I think it's best to go access those resources themselves. There used to be a fan site that hosted scans of all the G1 and G2 Marvel Comics, but they were all taken down about 10 years or so ago when Titan Books acquired the licence to reprint the Marvel Transformers comics, a licence which is currently held by IDW.
And of course, companies like Metrodome and Madman hold the rights to the G1 cartoons -- which have all been released on DVD here anyway.
And there are probably tonnes of otherr establishments (cough) where you can access other shows that have not been commercially released here.

Just got a message from RobotKingdom that a second run of Hasbro Masterpiece Soundwave will be available mid to late August. I wasn't even aware of a first run of the Hasbro version (with all the tapes).
Was there one?
The Hasbro run is out now in the US, it will be available here later this year.
The second run is Takara's second run that's coming later this year. Takara's first run was out in January. The Takara version only comes with Laserbeak, you have to buy Rumble, Frenzy, Ravage and Buzzsaw separate.
RK is advertising a second batch of Hasbro Soundwave's due for an August release.

They've managed to secure more stock, hence the first & second wave listing.
