I don't really understand the Sky-Byte-love, especially ahead of SO many good G1 characters that needs updating. Watched RID in English and I really did not appreciate his comic-relief.

    Toy-wise, I do like a good shark.

    Kudos for Jhiaxus!

A dozen of Legends Gnaws is going to look so good next to MP Grimlock!

I think they are looking at characters from the IDW comics. Sky-Byte did pop up in the Cybertron based ongoing series as an ex-Decepticon who left the war and was returning home after the war had ended. Perhaps he will start to play a bigger roll in the comics.

Dude, read the article it's not a list of AOE toys it's a list of IDW toys.

And Adrian/Galvatron? Good to see their sense of humour is alive & well
    Not necessarily.

The list also contains stuff released by Hasbro Asia, like the Capbots, etc.

So this listing for Sideswipe could just be a relic of the Sideswipe with coin, and not an indicator of a US release.

I guess the fun of it is that we just don't know what is what at this stage.

Arcee could just be a relic listing from the intended FE release under the Gen banner, BUT the existence of the Chromia listing really boosts the viability of this being a legit new mold Arcee. Can we FINALLY get a G1 Arcee figure?

Hardhead could also be a relic listing of the intended retool of Warpath, but I don't think that even got far enough to get a product code. Now, what if they ARE finally going to release that? Problem there is that we know that that mold is no longer doable for Hasbro in the current Deluxe pricing system. So that seems to shoot that idea down. Which leaves us with what I personally think is the strongest possibility: a new mold Hardhead. It would fit given the comics. Could the mysterious 'Tank' be his intended redeco?

As to the leader Jetfire being the ROTF one. Sure, that's possible, but it also seems like it might be a strange one to rerelease. Of course, that's also nullified by there ALREADY being strange choices for what we've seen in the Platinum line.

I think the best indicator that Jetfire and Megatron are new is that they're actually together as an assortment. Other Platinum stuff has just been single releases, and it looks like these two are going to ship together. To me, that's a very good indicator that we may indeed be looking at an all-new Jetfire, and an all-new Megatron. But as always, we're in for a hell of a ride to find out!

Sky-byte looks very similar to his RID/Car Robots self in IDW RID. I hope it's a new mold like Rhinox and Waspinator and not just a reissue.

It would be really odd for it to be a reissue. Doesn't fit with their current MO.

There'd also be the problems of it being too costly for current limitations for the size class, and at the very least, it'd have waaay less paint apps than the original.

Seems pretty safe to say it's going to be a new mold.
