That may happen in revision waves... but it is rare to have two of the same mould first-released at the same time. It does happen, the most recent being the Beast Hunters assortments. You've got Legion Smokescreen & Prowl, Commander Huffer & Trailcutter, Deluxe Smokescreen & Prowl all packaged together in some case assortments. Granted they're not all straight out repaints like the first lot of G1 Seekers were, but if Hasbro have done it recently, i don't see why they wouldn't with these two in the future
As bad as female TFs toys are to retailers, I'd still hope that these two are different moulds, just as a sweetener to retailers to stock the case.
