Nope, I'm doing the opposite ,I'm getting this first and Roadbuster second, while Hasbro appear to have done a decent job with Roadbuster (cept maybe the legs), the Warbots I've picked up so far have been all win. Paying twice the price is pretty steep, but going by Assaulter the solidity and quality of the toy is in another realm to the average hasbro release, so I'm ok with that.
May well end up getting both if I can get the official one cheap though.
sold!
A bit late but I finally opened my Revolver...
mm..I am a little disappointed. No die cast like previous Warbots, loose joints to the point he can't hold his gun. The 'wrist' joints don't stay in place as they can't lock and are loose. Head is restricted for no real reason despite the ball joint. Track threads are static and not even a 'fake' wheel underneath to roll. No ratchet joints when he really needs them, specially shoulders.
The Heartmaster is ok except that he doesn't lock in properly in robot mode and has an ugly split groin that really hurts the look of him as it affects proportions. This wouldn't be too much of an issue but after being underwhelmed by the main toy, it adds to it.
To its benefit the transformation is intuitive and effective. However I am underwhelmed by the vehicle mode.
The fact that I have to buy the green repaints if I want to complete his accessories and 'armor upgrade', disappoints me further, specially when I am not to fond of the mold itself.
First FP toy I am not too fond of...maybe it will grow on me but not impressed at this point. This is specially so after being a huge fan of the previous releases in the Warbot line.
Mine has some looseness to him, but nowhere near the degree you describe. The split groin thing on the Heartmaster is the same and annoying though.
Overall though I couldn't disagree more, as he's one of my favourites of recent times, and my second favourite Warbot, (although I only have 3).
Any other feedback on this guy aside from the above two posts?
The price has come down on this a bit since Hasbro released their Roadbuster and I'm either getting this, Azalea or one of the iGear Conair Raptor squad next.
I'm really just here for the free food and open bar.
Looks good in robot mode and poses fine except for the shitty ankle joints - they don't support his weight well. just a light touch or posed off centre and he'll fall on his arse.
wrists are so so. can hold his weapon fine but since they dont lock in, they can flop a bit.
honestly not worth it if you want a complete figure and need to get the other 2.
We have plenty of Revolver core in stock.
Check them out in our store.
