For the record, as much as I like the Devastator image, and how it would make a good shirt on its own, I don't think it should be integrated with the board logo as a club shirt unless we were planning to incorporate Devastator as part of our forum logo and image in general. Personally, it reminds me too much of the Jerry Maguire movie, which is the ultimate chick flick, and feels a little too 'girly' for me *personally* to want one to wear. Others won't feel the same, and would be comfortable in wearing it, but we need to make sure this club shirt is something everyone is happy with.

Kurtd's shirt printer suggestion is worth investigating, if nothing cheaper can be found.

kurdt's idea of personalised shirts is really growing on me. Maybe we could do OzFormers jerseys/guernseys (cos I'm way too old to wear my year 12 one... which has probably been thrown out by now)!! We could have TF factions on the front as a small breast-insignia (like they do with school logos) and then our handles on the back! And instead of "08" or whatever on the back we could have the OzFormers matrix logo with the web address as a sub title. The OzFormers web address could appear under the breast insignia, much like how school jerseys have the school name under the school logo. The guernsey option would be very expensive though and we would have to take a lot of orders to make it worthwhile.

So perhaps kurdt's suggestion would be a cheaper alternative.

Hey komikskolektor - did you say you do shirt printing too?

some good ideas Gok but i couldn't see us getting jerseys with that much detail (embroidered logos etc) for under $90-100 a piece maybe more depending on how many people order one

what is the legality of using transformer style fonts, images of characters & faction symbols on the shirts anyhow?

also if the shirts are going to be laser printed what is the minimum resolution the design has to be made at?

I don't think I came up with the idea for personalized shirts... i just suggested a couple of colours!

Personally, I think printing on both sides/personalization is not worth the extra cost ($10 per shirt @ that site). That said, I don't see any reason why those who DO want double sided, personalized shirts can't get them on their own, using the single sided "official" design as a starting point. The main reason i don't think it's worth the extra $10 though, is because of the complexity of organizing it. If each user took it upon themselves to personalize the design, their results would vary depending on their graphical ability, and if a single user was doing all the personalized versions for everyone, it'd be a load of work!

Griffin, do you have a high-resolution version of the OzFormers logo? If so can you put it up for download? I can redraw the logo in vector format, but since it appears 3D rendered, a high resolution render would best be able to capture all the detail.

Yeah, like I said, the guernsey option would be very expensive and beyond what most folks would be willing to pay for Transformers clothes.

So I think we should stick to the T-shirt idea.

This place looks ok and they do screen print small runs with reasonable prices.
They also have a buy 2 free shipping offer. I might give these guys a go later.

For those of us who recently completed Year 12 (& who subsequently got a guernsey), Do you remember how much your guernsey set you back?
