He’s on Amazon too, for I think $10 less (for what thats worth). Everywhere I’ve looked overseas, the postage easily wipes out any savings. So if he’s a figure you really want (and I think I do…!) then we’ll need to pony up the $$$. Either that or cross fingers he doesn’t sell and goes on a good special like Black Zarak did.

Big W has the Retro G1 Starscream rerelease listed now for the frankly absurd price of $69

Despite its price, I think this will sell well. Thinking back to the G1 Optimus, Soundwave, and cassettes reissues from Kmart over a year ago, which sold well at high prices, I think Big W will be rewarded better by going down the G1 rather than Beast Wars path. That encourages them to get more G1, which pleases me as a G1 collector. Also, I prefer to buy local than overseas, and in this case, I bought Screamer from TFH Singapore at about $80 shipped (a competitive overseas price but our dollar is weak). So Big W would have saved me money. Seeing all the retros coming up (Hound, Thundercracker, Skywarp?, Perceptor, Shrapnel), I would love Aussie retailers getting all of these.

Sadly these things seem cyclical. Similar to the whole Wave 1 flood thing happens every time without fail, where retailers are always hesitant to order second/third wave toys because everyone scrambled to order one online or chase them up on day one. People want these reissues, but those that really wanted them would have ordered them online, or will wait for the absurd RRP to go down a bit on sale/clearance. Then Kmart/Big W get the message that those toys aren't popular, and then the Hasbro reps have to do the whole sales pitch over again with every new line to convince stores to carry them. Seems like a pretty cruel communication breakdown, and these toys become eyesores clogging up shelves instead of something we were once excited for.

Thanks. Been looking for one of these locally. Now do I wait for a 20% off sale or clearance?

I don't understand why the Anime Starscream is "delivery only", as it adds another $8 onto the price, which you can't avoid.
Why can't they ship it to a store for pickup... as it would make it a lot easier to get a refund/replacement if anything is wrong with it when you pick it up.

I guess $77 is probably about what it would have cost to have one shipped from Falcon's Hanger when it was (briefly) available, for about au$60.

(I was only able to get Hotrod from there, so I will have to resort to getting this one from BigW.)

Guardian Titan and the Buzzworthy Jazz are up for preorder at Popcultcha, $319 and $45 respectively. Nice for those that missed the Jazz pre-order at EB, and another shot at a discount Guardian later on since Popcultcha tends to do 20% off sales relatively often.
