Transformers questions by newbies, and not-so-newbies

I won these two transformers off ebay but I don't know who they are. I'm guessing that the blue truck is kup but I'm not sure. Can someone help me in identifying them?

Yes - it's non-Targetmaster Kup and Wildrider - both are missing their handheld guns.

And just out of interest, do you often bid on toys when you don't know what they are?

Not really. There was a G1 Hot Rod and G1 Rodimus Prime that the seller had that I wanted so I also put a bid on those since they were cheap.

How do you guys know of upcoming toy sales in large retail stores like kmart and target? Or do you just notice them as they're advertised?

The websites often post the catalogues before the sales start and sometimes they get posted in the mail early. I usually get K-Mart catalogues in the mail on Mondays for sales that start on the Thursday.

Yeah I usually get catalogues Monday/Tuesday, to build interest a few days before the sales actually start

He didn't come with missiles. All the Predator and Turbomaster missiles were removed when converted to Machine Wars. I think it was because they were so small and failed to comply with US toy safety laws.
