After reading the numerous reviews here I decided to get some 3rd party figures:
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f285/i_amtrunks/IMG_1147_zps022cd728.jpg
Loved Hegemon even more once the orange tip was removed, yet to open Assaulter yet, but he is one sturdy figure, much meatier than Hegemon.
Also got some nice shiny stickers and a "fansporoject 2012" grey sprue with a series of tiny cars, bikes and cybertronian vehicles that look like they belong to another set. Anyone have any idea as to whom?

They're supposed to represent the other Fansproject warbots on a small scale for Assualter's carrier mode. The helicopter/Car is Defender and the truck/trailer is Steelcore. I don't know who the motorcycles are, presumably unreleased/unmade characters.

Awesome! Let us know what you think of them. It is always good to hear the perspective of a new person getting into 3rd parties.

Big thanks to those selling me these. Fatbot with Steelcore, ispayks with Assaulter, uteiki with Defender. All 3 in the one month, quite loving them too.

Ah, that makes sense, thanks!
Now I'll have to get some good coloured pics and try to paint the tiny buggers. Not tiny Crosshairs, not tiny Whirl, not tiny Chromedome, not tiny Brainstorm, not tiny Animated Wreck-gar and two unnamed bikes as well as maybe not tiny Hound.... :D
With my terrible painting skills and nothing to hold the miniature models, this will not end well...

Unfortunately I didn't make the first round of Quakewave, so will have to wait another few weeks for him.
I have been reading some initial reports on the UT not-Predaking and seriously hoping that there are no QC issues and that he feels like a quality figure in-hand.
I am pretty excited to be getting Giant though :) I have been wanting to order him, after seeing the reviews online, since last year.
Just hoping that Giant, TFC Uranos and FP Intimidator are all in good scale with each other.

TFC Uranus may be a little taller and not fit well with the FP combiners, same goes for the sculpt style. Giant fits in much better with the FP combiners as he is just that little shorter and similarly stylized to make him fit.

Yeah Giant does fir in batter with FP Crossfire and presumably Intimidator more then TFC's toys. Though oddly Giants individual robots are tall and fit in better with TFC's robots than they do the FP ones, who end up looking like midgets.
So yeah there is no complete perfection or universal scale, but then who would want that all these company's should be free to try their own take on the characters.

Just found this character at my local IGA (Biggera Waters), with a "Tim the Toyman" price sticker. Looks like an import, so may turn up at the Reject Shop/Dimmeys/Corner store.
I loved the colour scheme and size - makes for a good scout. His plane mode is vaguely reminiscent of EnergonCybertron Jetfire as a plane, perhaps a hrunk down version? The missles are a nice feature, no spring just a push to shoot.

You can see another character featured on the back, which looks very cool. There was a third (unpictured) character which is an F-35 Movie Starscream, but different transformation.

Just out of curiosity, why IS it referred to as a 'derp' face? - It's been called that since the proto photos & I just don't seem to understand it, to me it looks heavily reminiscent of facial aesthetics like that of the Brave series robots.
Personally I prefer the 'Derp' face but if anyone can explain to me what's dopey about it I'd appreciate it. :p

Now I get the complaints about this guy. Originally the skis seemed to stay on fairly secure but with some effort. However after a couple of tries, the skis now refuse to stay on and I had to become a bit more creative.
Still a nice kit that does indeed convert the toy into Whirl despite the flaws but you have to forgive the base mold colors (and flaws) and the new flaws that come with the kit such as the skis. The price tag is also something to consider as it is a rather simplistic kit. There is also the lack of accurate character color inherited from the base mold. I plan to paint mine at some stage.
If you can forgive those things, then it works fine.

Seeing some awesome pics in this thread, especially loving the ones of Assaulter and the different combiners.
Consider my appetite for 3rd party figures officially moistened.
Now the only question is what to get first, lol.
Quick question, for the figures that the only choice is ebay, what are some things to look out for in regards for potential knock offs?
Like I heard Fansproject Insects were KO'd, so would this be one of them- http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/261175755241
Sorry if there is another place I should ask...

I would suggest get assaulter and the Demolition crew, while they're newly available and still cheap - BBTS has them in stock. The older figures would be harder to find and since it's not anymore in production would be more pricy anywhere you look for em. Another site you could look for is www.chimungmung.com which sells originals and KO and 3rd party stuff so at least you could be aware if its a 3rd party that's been KOed since they list it as it is, a KO or an original

I don't believe that link contains a KO. The KO Fansproject Insecticons were apparently of a pretty high grade. The only way to tell the not-Insecticons apart were the paint aps on the head and also if you look at the packaging box, the real McCoy has a tiny "R" in a small box located on the bottom right hand side of the front whereas the KO has a blank box. I got my not-Insecticons off RK and it looks like they've still got one of them stocked (http://robotkingdom.com/services/eshop/main.php?action=details&CatType=&II=FPCA05&lang=us&CatID=), and going for cheaper than the eBay link. And there's always our friendly member's sales thread, looks like gamblor916 has both sets for sale (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=15457)!
A few other moulds known to have been KO'ed:
* Fansproject City Commander + colour variants
* Fansproject Protector + colour variants
* Maketoys Battle Tanker, original colour and in SG colour variants
There was also some talk of a KO Maketoys Green Giant (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-3rd-party-discussion/643756-knock-off-green-giant-19.html), but it seemed to have fizzled.

I'll agree with liege, and also add that the newer stuff are harder to KO. KO's in the past has usually popped up on the market several weeks/months after initial release. However it's been a while since I've heard of any KO's from the major players (Fansproject, Maketoys, Mastermind Creations, etc).

I have not seen any reviews of the not topspin and twintwist but have heard that for the price, they are pretty good. Plastic quality is similar to the MMC Screamer but the plastic is thicker and feels better in-hand. Listen to TFW 2005 and Radio Free Cybertron latest podcasts. Both have someone who purchased and were pretty pleased. I have been thinking of dropping the cash down myself.
They seem to have great articulation while staying true to the G1 looks. For 3rd party, they are very reasonable in price compared to what is currently available. About the same size as a current deluxe figure. Good luck if you get it. Would love to hear your thoughts on them :)

That kit was already out years ago. I think 2-3 years old already but it never really got that much attention due to the end of Alternator and becoming Alternity line ( smaller) plus with the rise of newer 3rd party stuff.

He's actually a lot of fun. Transformation is easy, and he has a knife and grenade that store in his legs that combine with his rifles to make a bayonet and silencer.
he seems more like a Hasbro toy than the Fansproject stuff, like an actual mass-market toy you can play with rather than an adult collectible that can transform.
there was only one tiny issue and that's the feet were swapped. lucky that's an easy thing to do.

They are pretty much sold out everywhere. You may be lucky enough to find an obscure online shop with one, but more than likely you'll have to resort to eBay. And the price isn't going down that's for sure.
Oh, just remembered. It may be easier (and cheaper) to pick up a yellow version. Just remember that their are some differences between the 2.

which one would people recommend between Green Giant 61 and Hercules (quality/size/price etc) and why?
I went with Giant for a few reasons:
Gestalt size - Giant is a bit smaller than Hercules, which is good because I have very limited display space. I'm using one of those cubey things Expedit shelves from Ikea and Giant only just squeezes in.
Aesthetic - I prefer the look of Giant and his individual bots over the TFC version. Maketoys' bots have more intricate transformations and I think are closer to the original toys than TFC's
Price - Giant was about $100 cheaper than Herc, excluding the 'Rage' addon kit. This may have changed now that Giant's out of production, and complete Herc sets including 'Rage' have been getting cheaper.
Giant's individual bots have ankle tilt! A minor reason, perhaps, but for bots the size of TFC's not to have ankle tilts is a pretty omission.
Quality-wise, I've heard that Herc's plastic is a little softer, which leads to some mushy detailing. Also I think Herc's shoulder joint ratchets can weaken over time. Giant's plastic is a bit harder, but that makes some of his bits very tough to peg together. My fingers were pretty sore after transforming him the first time. The plastic also tends to deform suddenly if you apply too much pressure, as I found out. :( Nothing to be overly concerned about, but just be aware that there's very little flex there and be careful not to twist things the wrong way.
Have a hunt on YouTube for some Giant vs. Herc comparisons, being able to see the bots and gestalt side by side really helped me make up my mind. Each camp has merits so you'll almost certainly be happy whichever way you go.

Yeah I'll echo what Iriorne has said, both sets have thier plus and minuses. At the end, have a look your self and see which 'style' appeals to you more.
I personally went with Giant as I like it's aesthetic looks better (feels more 'Classics' than Hercules) plus the robot designs were also more appealing both aesthetically and engineering wise.

The fansproject Bruticus guys are just Swindle and Blastoff (Munitioner and Explorer respectively) which combines with Energon, ROTF or United Bruticus (yes the big ugly one:p), replacing 2 of the members and adding new parts. ;)
It's quite hard to believe that they could make a not-so great figure into what is that Masterpiece-like god.

In answer, yes. You need the main bruticus mold that came out in Energon, re-released under rotf or the new Asia exclusive. All are different in colours, but would all look fine with the fansproject figures. The bruticus I got was rotf version. Looks great with the fansproject addition.

[...] I am actually not that big a fan of that particular Bruticus. It kinda looks like a bare robot with some vehicles stuck on as an afterthought. [...]
Much like Giant's arms and legs? :p
It's a problem with all combiners to an extent, though it helps that Giant/Devastator is mostly one colour. That was one thing I did think was quite clever on Hercules, the use of the treads to make the forearms. I know that wasn't G1 enough for a lot of people though, hence the inclusion of separate arm pieces in the Rage kit.

That's a very good price. Congrats dude, it is an awesome set. A bit of advice for combining him: Mobile Crane (Hook) has a little grey clip that you are supposed to use in Giant mode to hold to 2 halves together. It is completely unnecessary and quite a few people have damaged him trying to get it in and out of place. Gestalt mode works perfectly fine without it. So you might wanna skip that bit.
If my explanation is as bad as I think it is and you don't know what I'm on about, let me know and I'll take a photo tomorrow.
And bring on your questions :) 3rd party stuff is a bit of a mixed bag. Quality and execution varies from superb (like Green Giant or Quakewave) to absolutely terrible (like Sonicron).
HTH :)

Yup, I'm one of them. The grey hook is much more flexible so you can still use it, just make sure that when you unhook it you let the grey piece do all the bending. Too much torsion and you'll twist the hinge attachment point. Or just leave it alone, it's a pain to get the hook out of it's slot anyway. :)

Wow, good find. That's about the same as what it cost to import back when it was available.
I liked that on the Hercules model as well but i ended up going for GG61 because he was closer to the G1 look. Also because he was so close and cheap.:D

I don't think anything is wrong but if you find 'Mixmaster's' leg to be longer than it should, you may need to compress it more at the cab joint/waist.

Looks good.
I can't tell from your pic, but I had a problem the first time I transformed him - Giant kept leaning to one side. After finding some online videos, turns out pushing the little grey buttons just above the ankle joints on Mixmaster and Scrapper allows you to pull them out a couple of millimetres extra. The instructions aren't very clear on that and I couldn't work out what they were trying to get me to do. :)

I have a few questions regarding scale on some of the 3rd party stuff. I like the Fansproject and igear stuff, what scale are they eg masterpiece, classics etc?
Is all the igear stuff the same? I like the mini warriors and the vanbots but i don't want to get them if they are all individual scales and look weird.
Are all the Fansproject stuff the same scale eg Causality, Warbot etc?
If i can figure out how simialar stuff is in scale i can decide which ones i would like to get.
Thanks for any help.
Cheers, Ken

It all depends actually. Most 3rd party toys try to scale with 'Classics' such as Maketoys, FP, Toyworld and to a degree, MMC (Predacons). There are also 'MP' scale releases such as FansToys Quakewave.
However keep in mind that since Hasbro themselves have not had much scale consistency with what they refer to as a deluxe, voyager or Masterpiece, it is all a bit on the subjective.
Have a look at comparison shots of 3rd party toys with well known official figures. That should give yo a good idea on their size.

What Soundwave is that?
Also, is BBTS where most people get their stuff? They seem noticably cheaper than other places. Being in the US i assume their postage costs are quite high.

I think the big draw with BBTS is the pile of loot system which allows you to combine shipping. Shipping is reasonably competitive for larger orders, somewhere in the region of 15% of order value, depending on what you order.
There's quite a bit of discussion here: http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=15184
BBTS works well if you're patient and can wait a few months to build up a pile before shipping, otherwise you're probably better off going with the Asian sellers as the postage costs for individual items will be lower.

Question. if i get stuff from BBTS can i get them to hold the things that are already in to wait for the stuff still to be released?
Basically i want the 4 not stunticons but don'e want to be hit with postage twice or 3 times depending on the release of the 4th one.

That's exactly what the Pile of Loot system is for. To into your account settings and make sure Pile of Loot is turned on. Then when you buy something, it will automatically add it to your pile. The same with a preorder, when it comes in it will be added to your pile. And so on and so forth.
When you are ready to ship it, you click 'ship my loot' and away it goes.
Then he while process starts again. BBTS have a section in their FAQ about the PoL system here (http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/content.aspx?content=4). Might be worth a look.;)

Awesome. thanks mate, also, which mailing option do most people use on BBTS?
Well, they will give a few choices which you can tick off, but, if your pile of loot reaches a certain weight in total they upgrade you anyways to the more expensive one - which has tracking numbers and sign in for receiving. This way it protects both parties. So if you just keep piling up your lootonce it does reach a certain weight youll get the upgrade. They will still charge you postage amount every time you buy from them but in the end the total charge for your entire loot would still be cheap as.

If you're building up more than a couple hundred dollars, you'll probably find UPS (courier) to be both the cheaper and faster option.
Have a play around and get a feel for it. Just add some items to your cart, view cart then choose 'view shipping rates'. The UPS costs will start off relatively high, but they scale much better than USPS for larger quantities.

As an alternative to BBTS (which i use quite frequently(, TFSource have order stacking (http://tfsource.com/stat/stack/) and HLJ have a private warehouse (http://www.hlj.com/helpcenter/shipandprivate.html)
Have a look around for future reference :)

After a number of delays & many months of waiting ; Chaos Paladin (aka The Fallen) from MakeToys arrived today :D:cool:, courtesy of UpgradeCommander.com (http://www.upgradecommander.com/):
http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/a409/Darkone666au/2013%20Acquisitions/DSCI0121_zpsbb5d4b08.jpg
http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/a409/Darkone666au/2013%20Acquisitions/DSCI0122_zpsb5268088.jpg
http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/a409/Darkone666au/2013%20Acquisitions/DSCI0124_zps500bc2eb.jpg
Chaos Paladin's plastic feels like a slight step down/backwards from that of Green Giant, certainly not to a detriment but I feel it's noticeable enough. :o
The only areas I feel that it should be of considerable concern though, especially if you're heavy handed, is around the 'clip' parts of some of the Power Core Combiner (PCC) ports and the shoulder hinges.
(I think the hinges just need to be 'broken in' though, they feel ok at the moment ;))

The articulation is quite hindered in the arms of the 'Chaos' bot primarily due to the shoulder tank-tread/armour (These can be folded out of the way though & frees up movement :), I'm just going off the instructions transformation direction though ;)), his balance can be a bit finicky due to his feet but there is a sweet spot - You just have to find it.
The combined 'Chaos Paladin' bot enjoys far greater range in movement & articulation but his shoulders/pauldrons constantly get hindered by the tank-tread backpack , you just have to try & work with/around this area as you can still achieve some pretty cool poses I reckon ...

http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/a409/Darkone666au/2013%20Acquisitions/DSCI0132_zpsbf154799.jpg
Chaos Paladin is clearly a melee figure/character (Though he does have guns), it sort of bugs me when these sorts of figures are unable to tilt their wrists forward so sadly he joins a LONG list of sword wielding figures who can't wield them properly :(; he can hold his sword in its split form but, on my figure at least, his right fist hole seems to be looser than the left & hence the half-sword tends to flop around so I have to force it into the fist further which causes the fist to split slightly at its seem - Avoid Doing This!:eek::eek:
http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/a409/Darkone666au/2013%20Acquisitions/DSCI0133_zps1511ccbf.jpg

http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/a409/Darkone666au/2013%20Acquisitions/DSCI0135_zps35612b5f.jpg
Chaos Paladin also has a slight 'rickety' feeling; I feel this is purely because he is constructed of individual pieces that are 'plugged' together :), apart from the central 'Core', he's by no means a wobbly bit of spaghetti but he certainly has a different feel about him compared to that of a figure who isn't designed to be pulled apart & put back together.
http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/a409/Darkone666au/2013%20Acquisitions/DSCI0136_zps52c8abd6.jpg
http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/a409/Darkone666au/2013%20Acquisitions/DSCI0137_zps6545e644.jpg
That all said, I'm extremely happy to finally have Chaos Paladin in-hand & especially after SO many delays :D; he's certainly worth his cost ($80 + Postage) and he looks amazing in all modes but he's not without the odd flaw or 2 :o, his PCC joints will be either REALLY tight or 'just tight enough' and some pieces can be absolutely hair raising when trying to remove them from the PCC pegs. ;)
http://i1032.photobucket.com/albums/a409/Darkone666au/2013%20Acquisitions/DSCI0139_zps8a918aea.jpg

I recommend MakeToys: Chaos Paladin to anyone who's intrigued by Power Core Combiners play pattern, like (old) Voyager sized Robits with reasonable amounts of articulation and who also dig The Fallen's design cues & aesthetics. :D:cool:
If there's anything else you're curious about, feel free to ask but I'm sure many a Video Reviewer will do a superior job than I in not long-a wait. :)

You'll dig him man, the best 'Fallen' figure produced to date, IMO.

It is indeed, I think a lot of people were taken back by the fact that it was incorporating the Power Core Combiner play-pattern, but I think it works to great effect as a differing interpretation & implementation of that design. ;):)
Wow Hursty! Thanks for giving us your views on Paladin/Chaos. Great pics too, I particularly like the 'decapitation' one with Code.

Also how is the paint job in person? One of the things that I found a bit disappointing (from a personal perspective) is that the orange lacks that awesome washed with yellow 'furnace' look that the Titanium toy has.

So he is some big armored up little guy?
I'm not terribly sure of what narrative MakeToys have decided to give him sadly, I can't read Chinese :o, but physically he's just like a PCC except he actually works and looks cool ;) - Hopefully someone is able to do a translation of the instruction manual :), it might actually shed some light on who/what he is. :o
His paint is pretty flat to be honest; the Orange stands out well however against the contrasting dark shades of Purple, Black & Gun-metal Grey - To be honest though, I was not expecting much more out of its paintjob, that furnace effect you suggest would look great though. ;):)
...
To me though, he's The Fallen; taking on this unassuming appearance of a squat little bot that nobody considers much of at all, if/when they actually see him, as he prefers to loiter in the shadows & other dark places...
When bots do catch a glimpse of him, he always seems to be in the presence of this semi-autonomous Tank whom he incoherently whispers & murmurs to constantly...
Those who mistakenly snicker or simply think ill of him find that is often the last thing they do, before they're suddenly aware to a searing heat behind them - only to turn around & be greeted by The Fallen's true form!... :D:cool:
(Yeah... there's probably a reason I don't do creative writing :p)

Excellent!, he does look mightily evil huh? - How did you find the tightness of the ports?, were some tight as hell & others less so with yours? :)
That Nemesis does look pretty freakin' cool eh? - To think it's a completely new mold & not just using a base Official figure, I look forward to more pics of it when they eventuate myself.

Been looking into the KO issue particularly with the FP Insecticons... I got all three, and interestingly whilst Thundershred and Backfiery have the symbol in the bottom right corner, Stormbomb's is blank. Now, I got him off Gamblor and I really really doubt he sold me a KO or that he thought it was genuine when it is a KO. I have searched around and cannot for the life of me find a pic of a Stormbomb box that actually has the symbol there, so I can only conclude that genuine FP Stormbomb box for some reason does not have the symbol.
(This includes peaugh's review of Stormbomb, and once again, I doubt that guy didn't realise it was a KO!! And if that's not enough, neither does the pic on TFsource site have the symbol)
I really wonder about the KO boxes that have been reported, and that such an obvious thing is made different... I suspect the KO company would not want people to be able to tell different (that's after all, the nature of KO!), so why would they build in this difference?
BTW, this may be obvious as well, but I don't think it's meant to be an 'R'... but rather a stylised 'FP'.

What CBraton has mentioned is dead-right & Quake was literally designed for FP's Colossus (In Alt mode anyway, I just couldn't be buggered to un-bury him from my shelf to take pics ;)) and whilst he makes for a spot-on little Shockwave with pretty decent poseability , his Alt mode is indeed a gun... if you squint slightly that is :p, as a gun it's not amazing by any stretch. :o

Cheers mate, yeah he sort of gives off that impression huh? :p
I like him in Bot mode mostly; I'm not sure if this is a wide-spread issue though, but his little head/neck's ball-joint is really quite loose and I think I'll have to use some super-glue or something in order to thicken up the ball and reduce its "Free play".
Besides that little niggle (...and the "Meh" Alt mode), he's quite a cool little figure and if one can find him for $15-$20 I'd say he's worth it. ;):)

I know it's been out for a while now but a few weeks ago I received Genesis Planet X (taking advantage of Robotkingdom's restock of the item) and am mighty impressed with him. Huge figure, effectively a triple changer. Although I had to take his foot apart after I got him out of the box because one of his toes was upside down .
Anyway a very nice figure that goes well with both the WfC/FoC and Generations/Classics lines. Highly recommended.

Got these guys in the mail today - love the names iGear comes up with! Don't ask me what's with the psychedelic colors and 'Funky!' on Beachcomber... must be some hippy thing
Have opened Cogz tonight and overall quite happy with the little guy, the first impression of which is that he's not so little... easily the same size as Hench but made of tougher/stiffer plastic, and weighs more. Joints are very tight. The red is not as saturated as I have seen in some photos, which is a positive I think.
Only problem is that he had two right feet assembled in him. Opened up the left leg and tried swapping it around, but only managed to confirmed that it is indeed a right foot there. Am contacting both RK and iGear about this - would be interested if anyone has had to do this before??
Will post more thoughts and reviews in my thread when I get to them.

Good for you that you didn't have the two right feet problem I had!! I checked Veer after I discovered the issue, and am glad he doesn't suffer the disease. Looks like it's a once off and not contagious...

I reckon he is one of the best Mini-Warriors so far, definitely in terms of sturdiness. Major gripe is that arms poseability could be better, he can't really swing his arms out sideways very far, but will aim the gun straight ahead OK. Comparing him to all the ones I have (UFO, Hench, Veer, Duneraker, Bushwhacker), only Veer matches in terms of solidity, and that's because he is a remold. Hench/Bushwhacker is less sturdy, and Duneraker is downright fragile in comparison, almost like he's from another company!
Alt-mode is rather exagerrated if you're trying to fit him into Classics, but it's uber faithful to G1. It does what I want it to - i.e. roll!! :) I love it, and for less than $40 it's a great piece (Well, OK, less than $40 a month ago, will be more than that now thanks to our plummeting dollar!).
The first line of the bio on the box cracked me up - 'What most people don't realise is that Cogz is a failed stand-up comedian' !!!

Yeah that's right, comes together with Bushwhacker in most sellers. Some of the retailers like BBTS and TFsource did have him alone, but they charge a premium of over $50, and that's before adding on shipping. Haven't done a search, but some might still have Cogz alone in stock.
Forget about eBay unless you're desperate... people are already trying to pass him off for over $80, which is silly given that you can still get the 2 pack from retailers!!

I never paid much attention to this guy in G1, nor do I have any of his toys, but from looking at pics online, this looks like one awesome update FP have done! The color is not absolutely accurate of course, but the combination of the shade they chose along with that FP plastic is GORGEOUS!!

Glad you appreciate it guys!
Played with the transform last night, and like Car Crash, I have to say that it is a challenging job. It is mesmerizing how they've managed to fit it all in so tightly.... but if ROTF Leader Prime has a difficulty of 10/10, this would be around 8/10, not for the sheer number of parts and movements, but for how difficult it can be to make it fit correctly. (As an aside, I would be keen to know if anyone has found a harder transform than ROTF Leader Prime??)
If you have Car Crash, you know how it's like. Down Force is easier... less intuitive with those uber movable front fenders, but easier overall. Last Chance, whilst being harder to fit in, is actually more intuitive.
So here's some alt-mode pics... difficult to make it look dynamic as there's no real 'posing' of course. I do like the car... the front is almost pure Ferrari Enzo rip-off, but the rear is more uniquely it's own. At the moment, Last Chance easily has my favorite car-mode of all the not-Stunticons.

Looks pretty cool. I've got all four in my PoL as well so looking forward to having a play with them soon-ish.
difficult to make it look dynamic as there's no real 'posing' of course.
Just add some motion blur. :D:p

Yeah, I was spreading my bets between pre-paying on TFsource vs. paying when item's in stock on BBTS, given the situation with the foreign exchange rate. So I actually don't have T-Bone yet!
Heheh.... your comment cracked me up! :) I think the car (or part of it is meant to stay in focus... like this

Hexatron looks great in colour too. I was on the fence for a while but decided to pass over that one as I don't find any of the alt modes particularly attractive and it looks fiddly trying to line things up so they sit straight. Fiddling with those sword sheaths would drive me crazy.

It is probably just the angle of the camera, but his face looks a bit chubby. And is he smiling?
He sure does a good job of looking like the G1 version though. How many more until they're all out?

That's the third one... out so far are War Hawk, Ironhead, and Savage Bull.
Are people mainly ordering these guys from RK? I notice they're significantly cheaper there compared with BBTS and other US sellers. Too bad RK don't list the MMC Feral Cons... I'm forking out for those ones.

Have a look for some video reviews with transformations. Be careful with Down Force's windshield rotation as, despite what the instructions show, it only rotates one way and has stop tabs. The clear plastic is quite brittle and doesn't take much force to shatter.

yeah, I find that the instructions are not so clear in what they want to tell you what to do... good thing the ABS material is sturdier than the Hasbro plastic coz mine would've been riddled with stress marks already hehehe. Ive only transformed them twice in each mode.. after a while it's a little intuitive now, the first time I was just :confused::confused: most of the time hehehe.

Its a pretty good kit really, does have a couple of issues that I noticed. First the blades in the forearms are not on a full peg, they are as thin as the blades themselves which I suspect are meant to plug into a small slot somewhere on arcee. Will have to put her in alt mode to find out, but as they are that thin they move very easily. But they do fit in nicely and don't fall out which is good.
Secondly one of her guns is a little loose, which is not a huge issue. It fits in her hand very well, and doesnt fall out when you want to change poses as i did last night just to make sure.:) I'd says that the mould might be slightly degraded as the gun itself looks great. I was glad I did buy it, as it really gives her some well scaled weapons. Which did not come with the toy. if you are going to get one Liege I would say that is well worth it as gives a more cartoon accurate Arcee.:)

Guilty G-04 "Hunger" weapons - The box has "Cheap" written all over it, but the weapons themselves feel fine.
iGear W-01 weapons - Box is quite a lot bigger than I was expecting it to be, at about 6 inches long.
Head Robots Blood: The Dark Warrior kit - really looking forward to putting this onto Bludgeon!

No prob... will do so later tonight (after the kids are asleep!! :))...
Incidentally, RK also included a replacement part for my iGear Cogz who was packed with two right feet. They actually took the whole left leg for me, so if anyone needs a Cogz left lower leg or right foot, I've got one!
