FEB 2016 - Titan Wars

Unknown original posting - mirrored posting here (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/rundown-of-rumoured-upcoming-transformers-titans-return-toys-broadside-getaway-legends-kickback-and-reflector-and-more/34811/).

Headmaster Star Convoy / Laser Prime from G2.

Headmaster Megatron is obviously Blitzwing, but with a Megatron head. You can see his tank turret on his back, and jet fins on his ankles. He comes with two guns which merge to form his big cannon that can plug into his arm. Megatron's head looks very G1 in head mode. In "Nebulon" mode it has a red torso, and grey limbs.

Chromedome's getting repainted as Getaway. Head looks G1.

Triggerhappy is a headmaster who looks very G1.

Hot Rod is a headmaster who looks G1 in vehicle mode. Robot mode looks vaguely IDW to me. Small waste. Long thinghs. Big hexagonal kneepads with vents in them.

Alpha Trion's a triple changer. Beast Mode is a wolf with a unicorn horn (I have no idea why). Jet mode looks very Vector Prime.

Weirdwolf looks good. Very G1.

Powermaster Prime is getting a Diaclone repaint, so it's a blue COE truck. They seem to be calling it Magnus Prime or something along those lines (I can't remember for sure).

Tidal Wave seems to be coming back (investor art, photoshopped, rough). Looks like it'll share a mold with Broadside. Vehicle mode seems to be USS Flagg homage. Part of "strength series". Tidal Wave's head is called Powerhouse. Grey body. Green limbs.

Decepticon Clones. Looked to me like they have a Predaking. And the D-clones were Predaking parts. Same with Horri-Bull.

Sharkticon looks very round and G1.

Technobots look like you'd expect. But Afterburner is weird. Instead of making him G1, or just an orange Takara Groove, he's got this really long warped/bent windshield. It looks awkward to me. But that was my only complaint from everything I saw.

SDCC Fort Max comes with red sword. Has blue hands, instead of white.

Was a diaclone Metroplex ever made?? As far as I recall, the only recolour would be Metrotitan right?

The link that philby posted has pictures in the comments section of Diaclone Robot Fortress X which shares a similar colour scheme and head to the one pictured but is not based on the G1 Metroplex mold. Very obscure though.

I can't provide any firm source on this. It's a "friend of a friend" scenario, with the former being a BBTS employee that claims they've been given a heads-up on incoming TT products.

One of these is:

one of the products on the horizon is an official TT Masterpiece Devastator!
He went on to say that a mold currently exists and that we will be getting a first sneak peak in the "not too distant future".

Last I heard in cybertron con the TT team expressed interest in mp combiners and the dinobots (they wanted to do the whole lot but a grimlock 2.0 could be on the cards), but they mentioned bruticus as their first piece...

If I recall from a jp magazine interview the way Hasui designed the current titan devastator was to be "mp-like" product which would help better explain the newly added bits and the fact each one is voyager sized (or a neat little excuse for being so unnecessarily big :D)

I have my doubts on this, but honestly, I would love to be wrong, my question is how much of a heads up would a bbts employee get and why, I know the loopaza megastore on facebook often gets early wind and usually throws up the pre-order listings long before anyone else does but those guys are based in asia so (in my opinion, not fact) I'm surprised an american source got early wind before an asia source.

That's correct. Shogo Hasui said that he treated Combiner Wars Devastator as a Masterpiece because there were no plans for one for the foreseeable future - in fact, he incorporated design ideas he had had for an MP Devastator into its design:

Concerning the points that are designed based on the original G1 version, it’s constructed similar to a masterpiece (transformer). The toy of course incorporated elements of the anime design. In fact to clear the tight development schedule, there are parts where I apropriated (sic) ideas for use in an MP Devastator that I had written down a long time before. I thought: “doesn’t this seem like the only chance I can make a giant MP Devastator, if I do my best here then the thing that the fans eagerly waited for can be realized”. I had the sense that there was nothing like it before. If it surpassed a masterpiece wouldn’t that be terrible (smile).

Well thats just it. There is no reason they could not use the Titan class as a starting point and refine/redo what they want. Look back a few years and I think you can often see the proof of concept / trial figures that made a bigger idea come to fruition.

The idea is plausible - 3P is in the area (and Takara like to hunt them), and the Tokyo Toy show must be coming up. That a BBTS employee is the first to release this info is less convincing.

Oh, and they just engineered a great Megatron so they hz da mad skil1z required.

It's a nice rumour but like others have mentioned CW/UW Devastator is a good stand in for a MP and has some MP engineering so I'd personally rather see and think that they will tackle another team, we are long overdue for a larger more to scale official MP Grimlock.

And I am base on Titans Devy as well.
Sorry if I am harsh, but that the person I am when I am collecting toys, I do not admire boxes, "long live awards" etc..... I am only interested in the end product.

Though an MP Devastator would make one hell of a showpiece on the shelf, i'm not sure I want this. After Megatron, i've been enjoying not having something on pre-order for once! As a 6 bot set, the price in one hit would be a big deterrent. As 6 separately over the course of a year or something - i'd rather have a variety of characters instead.

With so many fans already buying one of the many unofficial Devastators, I don't know how many of them would be willing to pay up again for an official one. Much like the remaining Dinobots, i'm not sure i see it happening because of price.

Crosshairs or Orion Pax from TR Kup (http://news.tfw2005.com/2017/05/26/possible-legends-titans-return-orion-pax-crosshairs-revealed-339541)?

A photo of a recoloured TR Deluxe Kup toy has surfaced with no details to say if it is legit, and what character it is meant to be (or if it is just a miscoloured prototype).

The colours have some people thinking Crosshairs, as the other three Autobot Targetmasters (Crosshairs, Pointblank, Sureshot) are likely to be done soon, now that the three "new character" Decepticon Targetmasters are confirmed (Triggerhappy, Misfire, Slugslinger). Not that Gen1 or TR Kup could pass as Crosshairs without some significant remoulding (even still, the vehicle types are completely different).

Orion Pax is also an option, as the Gen1 Kup toy was released in red and blue by Ehobby almost 10 years ago, as Orion Pax. If it is Orion Pax, it is more likely to be a JP exclusive to Ehobby or to the June Tokyo Toy Fair.

The source of this rumour was posted on TFW's speculation thread a few days ago. The translation says there will likely be some repaints of existing molds thrown in during this time so it was not to be taken that the characters mentioned will be all released in a row. I think the most accurate/likely reason thought up was if the figure was getting a general release, it would get its own number, but if it was a limited or exclusive release, it would get a letter add-on.

Having a quick look at the list of releases, that holds true for all releases I think, with the possible exceptions of MP-13B, MP-21G and MP-12G. Every other one was either limited in number or sold exclusively through specific vendor(s) or region(s).

You must have missed this interview with the design team for MP Sunstreaker (https://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/clearer-scans-of-mp39-sunstreaker/38195/).

It clearly states (bolding for emphasis):

Beast Wars & G1 are being released alternately since both parties are in different purchasing demographics seperated by age and so on. The release pattern has been thanks to you. We have managed to capture the age that was playing at the time of the show being broadcast and would like to keep the fever of waiting away by releasing more Beast Wars.
I want to distinguish between the 4x4 designs of Hoist and Trailbreaker in the meantime for the G1 fans, which will be troublesome.
I think Megatron and now Sunstreaker really suprised the fans & designers even!
I hope that Hoist can be realised with a few of these suprises. Alot of the masterpiece cars have come together.
We arranged the successive Masterpieces side by side the other day at a festival and they were very popular.

In short, Hoist and Trailbreaker aren't rumours; Hoist and Trailbreaker are clearly in production - even if it's just currently at the design stage.

Also, the Optimus Primal and BW Megatron will apparently be retools of PotP Voyager Apeface and Snapdragon respectively. Makes me excited for the possibility of a full-bodied Apeface! :D

Wonder how to best go about this, I have a pre-order with hlj which, while cheaper there is shipping involved (but I use private warehouse).

To support local or get best bang for buck I wonder

I hate exclusives going to retailers with small bricks and mortar footprints (David Jones, TRU, Zing etc) as they are hard to get to for many, plus gives them an incentive to price gouge. Lego is particularly bad for this.

This sort of thing usually drives me off-shore.

A rumour at this stage, as this could just be a custom KO job - a golden MP-36 Megatron, akin to the Lucky Draw Transformers (http://news.tfw2005.com/2017/09/22/mp-36-golden-lagoon-megatron-unannounced-takara-tomy-campaign-349428).
If it turns out to be legit, details should end up being posted on the TakaraTomy website.

Someone claims to have been looking through TRU's US product database and found an entry for new MP Autobot at $99.99.

This is likely just a reuse of a Takara MP mould.

I was looking at other leaks from the past week and I'm pretty sure movie Ironhide is listed in the TRU US database as MV6 not EX TRA. That's why people are getting all excited that this a standard MP not MPM. Still I have all the Takara MPs I care about so I don't really care who this is unless it's a new MP character by some miracle.

A list of what was claimed to be on display at the German Toyfair last week (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/possible-rumor-list-of-potp-releases.1140223/)...

Toyfair Leaks:
What's physically present:
Fully Assembled predaking
Fully Assembled Abominus
Waves 3 and onward of Prime Masters, Bludgeon, Bomb Burst, Bugly, Ground Shaker, Waverider, Sky High, Octopunch
Voyager Inferno and his fully combined mode, Elita-1 and her Fully Combined Mode
Legends Outback and Cindersaur, Runamuck is present and is a pretool of Freeway who is also going to be used for Searchlight but they will be spaced out so you don't have multiples of the same mold on shelves.
Leader Op Op is there

Packaging Cross Sell reveals and other 2D images:
Flywheels is on the legends package
Monstructor's Voyager component is Scowl, heavily retooled form of Grimlock. He resembles a blue reptilian ogre with a metal mask with hot pink details in his alt mode, didn't want him to be too human so they made him look more reptilian, alt mode's arms have articulation for a bipedal and a 4 legged mode.
Snaptrap is using tooling from two other voyagers
Thunderclash shares tooling from both prime and Rodimus. Trailer component has the big double cannons where prime's gun would have gone. Cab mode has similar tooling to rodimus in the way he transforms into his robot mode, combined mode resembles IDW, cab is G1.
Jazz is going to be repainted into 3 or 4 other bots he's the Wildrider of the line.

Deluxe Blastoff is going to be a general release
Takara Nosecone is also coming unknown if it's exclusive or not
Double Dealer is coming in some form may be leader may be voyager, but he's definitely making an appearance with a full bird mode
Thundercraker is TRUE exclusive no word on Skywarp they don't want to do too many planes. Takara Scattorshot might be coming to fill in a voyager wave rest of computron components will not, other than some repaints like Wreckgar.

I guess we'll see in two weeks time at New York Toyfair, if any of these new toys are true.

This WFC is completely separate from the Aligned Continuity WFC. They are not game based.

Also if they do loot boxes after calm down from spitting profanity at Hasbro I will be hitting ebay for the set. When I want a full set of blind pack Lego figures I hit up ebay because someone always buys a few boxes, opens every packet in the boxes and sells complete sets for a small markup.

Yes, War For Cybertron is the next Generations Trilogy to follow on from the Prime Wars Trilogy.... it doesn't sound like it will have anything to do with the previous WFC series/era (similar to how the recent RID series had nothing to do with the 2001 RID series).

The majority of customers would only buying Transformers for a child for about 1-5 years, so recycling of series names beyond 10 years, wouldn't be a problem for Hasbro or their customers (the Retailers).

WFC Micromaster: 11 Characters across 4 Waves

These are the bane of my existence at the moment... it is a complete scam aimed at kids to force parents to by multiple of the same thing. Take Mashums for example (parents will understand this), generally there will be 5 to collect in any given set. However each comes individually in a little container that is identical so there is no way to know what one you get. So it takes like 10-15 purchases to get a whole set... and of course kids want the whole set or the one specific one that you just never get... Mashums are particularly bad as they get really grubby and dirty easily do you can't even really sell them on the second hand market...

Maybe this post belongs in the vent thread :p

The idea is to trade with others, its why I don't get into these things unless there is a way to identify what's in side (like the last knight's blind bags), the assortment is fine to accept one or 2 purchases, or I got friends to trade with (never happens anymore unlike tazos).

Not that people care much, I see opened blindbags in just about every shop I go to, so in a way they're punishing themselves with this approach unless the cost are so cheap they can account for half a boxes's worth missing LOL

The secret is establishing trading through (ideally) your children's friends and your network of parents. Otherwise the cost to complete, especially those final pieces, expands exponentially as does your number of dupes. Also try eBay for the rare ones - if the line is popular enough it might be carried. I did the same for those blind boxed ugly pet animals (ugglys), though the shipping from America was expensive for something a few centred meters in size.

We should establish a trading thread here for the botbots.

I wonder if this could mean the end of the Legion size class... hopefully not.. Then again, I'm probably the only one here who actually likes Legion figures...

EDIT: Yeah, about the Botbots; I love that there's 72 characters to collect. Wider character selection means we might see some lesser known but cool G1 characters (hopefully it's G1!). My only (first world) issue - the name; BOTBOTS... It's bit corny...

TFW Bayverse Jazz gets a Masterpiece figure before G1 Jazz

Licensing :( I know they got VW with Bumblebee who owns Porsche, although VW is then owned by Porsche.... https://www.google.com.au/search?source=hp&ei=hsM5W-qwKYOlmAXylI_YCA&q=who+own+porsche&oq=who+own+porsche&gs_l=psy-ab.3..0j0i22i30k1l9.1092.4273.0.6316.19.14.1.0.0.0 .547.2749.2-1j3j2j1.7.0....0...1c.1.64.psy-ab..12.7.2217.0..0i131k1j0i10k1.0.OiZg_vhwJxM  but beyond that I don't know what the go is. Maybe its just an engineering thing still. They can make the most out of the mould with G2 and Stepper, oh, just thought of this, Martini labeling on the original may stop them, they could alter it, but if its specifically based on their racecar then like Exhaust it would need modifications to the livery at the least.

The racing livery could potentially be fixed via unofficial 3rd party stickers couldn't it? Do they already exist for any other G1 Jazz figures?
And make the MP Jazz plain?

Ralph Wiggum
2nd July 2018, 06:29 PM
I don't know if its ever been officially stated as to whether Jazz has been held up with licensing issues?

I know at the least an MP Jazz needs to be designed from scratch. An MPM Jazz could be based on the Human Alliance Jazz which was a quality figure. If the MPM range is anything to go by, they don't seem to be major overhauls.

I don't think they ever made an official statement or quote about it. Just various speculation and fan theories about the situation based on one quote from somewhere or other , that kind of thing. I think lol

DELTAprime

I don't know how much of an issue Martini would be. They have done many reissues of G1 Jazz over the years with "Meister" branding which still uses the Martini colours. Still we should keep in mind that G1 Jazz is unlicensed by Porsche.

Williams get away with having Martini as a sponsor in Muslim nations, France and video games by changing the colours of from white, orange and blue to white, blue and light blue so that would probably be the biggest issue if there had to be a change.

It frustrates me as a fan of Porsche that they are so behind the times with their licencing. The various other Volkswagen brands are up with the times. Lamborghini will licence practically anything. Bugatti loves the attention they get from licencing out their stuff. Bentley would still be seen as a brand for old people if it wasn't their licencing and Audi even let an R8 get cut in two by Bay in ROTF.

Porsche's marketing team was even stupid enough to paint the #92 Porsche 911 RSR in a Rothmans livery for this years Le Mans 24 hours. By the end of the race people were pretty outraged at the blatant tobacco advertising and the commentators had dance around the Rothmans livery.

It pains me to say it but Porsche are just stupid.

If it's animation accurate though, why would the figure need any sponsor decals on it?

Because then you can have it toy accurate as well, for anyone who actually likes the racing decoration or the toy look or just doesn't feel like such strict and slavish devotion to the cartoon is the be all and end all....

bowspearer
9th July 2018, 09:44 AM
Except that Takara have made it clear that this is about animation accuracy, so like it or lump it, that's the direction of the line.

Besides, I can't see Reprolables passing up the chance to sell a racing decal set, so I'm not sure how anyone is going to miss out here (that's if there isn't a + version released with a toy accurate deco anyway).

If I recall correctly, there is an issue with a set potentially having cigarette adverstising on it. When they did a conversion set for CW Wheeljack, they used anti-smoking ads instead, as they felt it was OK to not do a flagrant homage on a line more suited to a mainstream market (as opposed to MPs, for a more collectors market). For Exhaust, they would have to either compromise on accuracy, or include cigarette adevertising that they (rightly IMO) have an objection to.

Here's a list of the wave 1 assortment for Seige WFC, including the Decepticons!

https://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/wave-1-of-transformers-wfc-siege-fully-revealed-with-megatron-shockwave-skytread-and-more/41878/

It's based on listings on the Midtwown Comics Online store; not an official reveal by Hasbro, so we'll park this here as a rumour for now.

It'd be nice to see Optimus and Megatron as voyagers who are not only available in the same wave, but are in the first wave of the line also :)

You're upset because Hasbro's giving you what you initially preferred?
I prefer a red-chested Swoop too, and I'm gonna jump on this as soon as I find this toy in shops! :D I don't begrudge Hasbro for releasing it with a blue chest first as it seems that the bulk of fans prefer show-likeness over toy-accuracy. I prefer toy-accuracy but majority rules. Plus the blue-chested POTP Swoop is the closest I'll ever get to owning a Diaclone Pteranodon Robo. ;) :p Now I can have one in each mode!

I'm marginally miffed about Ricochet purely because I've already made my own custom POTP Stepper repaint. :p Ah well... looks like I'll be buying POTP Ricochet and giving away my Stepper in the near future (as I personally don't agree with exchanging money for customised toys).

I was certain that red Swoop would come, but I am shocked that it wasn't released in some exclusive set with 4 other figures you don't want. :p
I'll be combining red Swoop with my Dinobots and displaying the blue one on his own. Swoop is my favourite Dinobot, so more than happy to have two variants of it.

He (and others including me) are upset that a toy accurate deco is not going to be a retail release, and that this preferred deco might be limited and not released here at all, costing 2-4 times a Deluxe just to import it.... after buying a Swoop already, assuming it would be the only version being released.

I would much prefer the red version, but I waited and waited and there was no news, so I bought a blue one so I didn't have to end up buying one on the aftermarket. I've opened it so I could save space for our move, and now like Griffin said, the one I want might be hard to come by, and/or expensive to import. then I'll have a spare swoop that I didn't really want in the first place that I can't even donate to a toy drive for Christmas because it's no longer sealed.

Take this with a grain of salt until further information comes out, but a post has surfaced on facebook (https://www.facebook.com/TransformersCars/posts/2060805017290351) claiming that there will be a Siege game for PS4 and XBOne being released by Ubisoft Q3 2019, and for PC Q4 2019.

The post is as follows, complete with packaging mockups:

PAWTUCKET, R.I. & SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAS) and Ubisoft® are pleased to continue their long partnership and have announced The TRANSFORMERS: SEIGE – WAR FOR CYBERTRON TRILOGY video game to be available on leading consoles, featuring characters and story based on Hasbro's popular TRANSFORMERS brand. Projected for a third quarter 2019 release, the video game will be available for purchase at retail and for download on Xbox One, video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system from Sony Entertainment. A PC version will be available in the fourth quarter for the Windows 10 operating system.
It is the day of reckoning. The Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, make a perilous last stand to hold off the Decepticon conquest of Cybertron. Outnumbered, outgunned, and pushed to the brink of extinction, the battle-weary band of resistance fighters orchestrates a desperate series of counterstrikes on a mission that, if everything somehow goes right, will end with an unthinkable choice: kill their planet in order to save it. Choose your faction. Playable characters include Autobots Optimus Prime and Sideswipe and Decepticons Megatron and Starscream. Plus exclusive unlockable content and characters for the Xbox One and PS4 game consoles.

The only source for this is Facebook. That press release should be easily found from Ubisoft's and Hasbro's websites but is nowhere to be found. As much as I would love this to be true, at this stage it looks like a hoax (a very well done one at that).

Yes it's a really nice promo shot but something about the placement of the Hasbro branding on the package does not look right to me. I don't think it would be so prominent as to obscure Optimus Prime. Thanks for the heads up.

I'll add that a single game would not have the word "trilogy" in its title. And before someone says "what if it's a rerelease of the three previous WFC games". Well, they were made and are owned by Activision. Ubisoft is not associated with Activision (thank god). Also, that last WFC game has Bayverse stuff in it that is owned by Paramount.

You can't do that with a game. It would be false advertising not to have the contents of three games included in the package. People that are not in the know would expect that they are getting three games worth of content, not one.

New Product Codes For Transformers: War For Cybertron – Siege, Studio Series And Cyberverse (https://news.tfw2005.com/2019/03/25/new-product-codes-for-transformers-war-for-cybertron-siege-studio-series-and-cyberverse-385828)I'm thinking the "WFC Micromaster Mega Value 10 Pack" will be a repack of 6-8 of the already released Micromaster's (maybe with slight paint changes, maybe not) with 2-4 exclusives, what do others think?

I'm not expecting much in the way of the micromasters, more than likely a repack and a few repaints. I think the 10 pack and the Walgreen's Ratchet is the only one we haven't seen images of?

Imagine if its the rest of the teams... planes, sports cars, army vec, emergency vec and laserbeak/frenzy repaints.

Wonder how much it would cost? $80 or something. Darkhyren is more than likely right.

Regardless I’ll get it. This is a new mold and I don’t collect any other series.

A possible fan-vote for more Generations toys, perhaps for 2020 (the "2019" fan vote gave us Impactor and Mirage (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=25209)), but the image that was found on an Asian site has since been pulled down, but a copy can be seen here (https://news.tfw2005.com/2019/06/11/possible-war-for-cybertron-character-vote-for-2020-389680).
The image had black silhouettes of four Decepticons that have been identified as Gnaw, Needlenose, Shrapnel and Runamuck (it's a Battlecharger with a gun that looks more like Runamuck's than Runabout's).
If this really is a future fan vote, it's already been rigged to make sure a certain pair win, as we only recently had Gnaw and Shrapnel toys released last year, so people are less likely to vote for them.
(and if Runamuck wins, it would pretty much guarantee the redeco Runabout some time later)

Micromaster 10-pack
Leader Shockwave in Galactic Man deco, black Shockwave aka “Shackwave”. (Revealed today).

A third Beast Convoy (Optimus Primal) Masterpiece toy could be coming next year (https://news.tfw2005.com/2019/09/10/rumor-possible-masterpiece-mp-38-burning-convoy-396307), as BBTS have put up a preliminary listing for a "Burning Convoy" with no images or details other than it being released in March next year.
Since Beast Convoy in Japan appeared on the cartoon at one stage in a red deco, and referred to as Burning Convoy, it's likely to be a toy based on that.

Could Ectotron be seeing a reissue in December (https://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/profile-and-official-images-for-orthia-the-fembot-combiner/44067/)?
Since it was such a success earlier this year in just about every country that had it, it wouldn't be a surprise if it does get a second run. Or, BBTS have just managed to find some excess stock from somewhere in the world, and will get it in two months time. They are selling them for about the same price as the first run, so they aren't reselling old stock from another retailer (unless they got a really good discount).

As for the list from earlier today. They are listings taken from Hasbro's official Taobao store, so it would seem Hasbro China has listed next year's toys prematurely much like Amazon AU listed this year's toys prematurely.

Based on the description given, it seems VERY basic for a voyager toy. Perhaps it is Cyberverse rather than Earthrise.
I was hoping that by Quintesson they meant Allicon (https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Allicon) and we'd have a companion to go with our Gnaws. Although a voyager would make army building pricey anyway. :p

More prematurely listed items, this time thanks to Walmart. No idea who Slitherfang is so I'm guessing he/she is new. Race Track Patrol was my first Micromaster patrol as a kid so I'm looking forward to seeing them. A number of those have been in recent "leaks" and "rumour" posts, so hopefully that means they are more likely to be real, and not just different people recycling the same rumours.

The Studio Series Sentinel Prime and Scrapper are definitely coming. Scrapper was the name on the Devastator promo pics early last year, and Sentinel Prime was on a Japanese product listing a few months back, we just didn't know what size class it would be (they do their Studio Series in a different number order).
Blitzwing may have been rumoured before, but if not, it would be expected as one of the few featured robot characters in the Bumblebee Movie (and would have needed a couple of years to design properly, unlike the toys released during the movie that get rushed in order to be in stores in half the time).

Skipjack should just be a yellow redeco of Rampage... as it was the original colour of the Constructicon that Bumblebee fights in the ruins after destroying Ravage (you can see the yellow on the bulldozer and a very rushed two-dimensional red recolouring, as a yellow bulldozer would have been filmed, but I think the robot mode had to be changed to red so that it was easier to track the fist-fight between Rampage and Bumblebee - and I'm pretty sure that the advance screening of some scenes we saw at BotCon 2009 before the movie was released, had a yellow Rampage, which would explain the rush job on the red bulldozer, as the animated robot mode could have its colour changed very quickly in post production)
Having a yellow Rampage released will allow fans to create a screen accurate Devastator with a yellow leg instead of red... and most of the Devastator toys for ROTF had a yellow leg or yellow Rampage. My guess is that the Studio Series Devastator already had 3 yellow Constructicons, so it was decided that it would look better having the red Rampage that Bumblebee killed, to add a bit more colour to the team and combiner, even though it is not screen accurate.
