Just be aware that the prime day deals are only for paid prime members... so if you aren't a paid Prime member, or logged in, you won't see the specials or be able to get them in the cart screen.

Actually, I can't see how it might be.

That's a tiny, hopelessly articulated toy. And so far as I can see, the current version of the targetmasters comes to a total of 2 and a half moulds, in a range of different colours. We have 12 targetmasters from the WFC toylines (Firebolt, redecoed into Fracas, Singe, Pinpointer, and Nightstick; Blowpipe, redecoed into Caliburst, Trenchfoot, Heatstroke, and Hearburn; and Aimless and Shrute retooled with tiny changes from Blowpipe).

Why would anyone pay $25 when they can still grab one of the other toys dirt cheap from Kmart and just slap a bit of paint on it, which is all Hasbro has done anyway?

Well, okay, the blast effects are the only reason why I bought a bunch of them from Kmart a few months back, yes... :) (the targetmasters sorry battlemasters are in a box, almost certainly never to be seen again).

Oh, I'm aware that it's not a good price objectively. However it's an end of line figure that was not seen here that has seen prices up at $50-$60 (similar to Ratbat and Rumble).

$25 is a decent price for those that are completionists on this / want their targetmaster deluxes to have their relevant partner.

Similar to Titan Master Ramhorn. I know a few who paid a big premium for that one, then we somehow ended up with alot of them for cheap. Possible this guy might end up the same, but we just never know. Collecting some have become a gamble when it comes to prices

Spewing, I ordered this from amazon a few days ago for $79, it's shipped and might arrive today.

I just noticed that Galvatron is $74 on amazon.com.au from amazon us. It's backordered till August though. I might try and find one at Bigw if I get lucky for $44. I ordered the amazon one in the mean time, plenty of time to cancel it if I can't find one.

Not Thundercracker & Skywarp, but I have today received an e-mail saying that they're having difficulty obtaining Galvatron, and would I like to cancel my order. Which I would do in a heartbeat if my local Big W bothered with leaders (and put out some Galvatrons), but they just don't seem to want to.

So I wonder if Hasbro Australia is having difficulty with supplying stock for some reason.

Yep same here on the thundercracker and Skywarp pack..I was always nervous with these due to the insane price it was up for!!

Got lucky with Galvatron in that I found him at Bigw and cancelled my pre-order...Hope this doesn't occur for the half price Megs they recently put up which I ordered...same again if Im lucky to find before July 14 then I'll cancel him as well

I got that email, as well as one for Shattered Glass Blurr. I'm not sure the issue is that they aren't able to get stock, but that some of their release dates are wildly optimistic at best and arse plucks at worst. I'm expecting to get the same email about Mirage and Grimlock sometime next week.

Not a huge surprise, but the delivery date for Wreck-Gar has been pushed out (and they finally emailed to tell me Galvatron, Rhinox and Scorponok are delayed)

The later three and G2 Ramjet were one order that now says "Delivery estimate: Monday, 6 December 2021 - Wednesday, 8 December 2021"

At least it is easy to cancel Amazon orders, without a penalty (like some places that blacklist you if you cancel too many pre-orders), and no issues about money as they don't charge anything until it is in-stock.

When I ended up getting a Galvatron at a store, I cancelled my Amazon order... and it was less than a dollar extra (I paid $89, and the Amazon price was about $88 I think).

I attempted this last night as well with no credit appearing upon checkout. I did an online chat with the online customer service and apparently the promotional certificate only applies to items sold by Amazon AU.

So even though you are purchasing the item from the Australian Amazon website, the seller details will show when you select an item. If the seller is anyone other than Amazon AU then the credit won't be applied (my item was being sold by Amazon US, even though I was on Amazon.com.au).

I hope that helps.

Nice. I just checked and the order I placed for the Ark a long time ago got the discounted price applied. That makes it much more bearable for me since I'm just interested in Teletran 1 and Mainframe. (though I hope Mainframe gets released at some point in the future in his G1 colours.)

And now I sit back and watch the e-mails roll in, telling me how they're having difficulty "sourcing" the product, just like the other things I've got on order...

Not going to complain about a few more dollars being shaved off Wreck-Gar though. Maybe it'll drop again before they manage to "source" some.

I was hoping so too, as they keep advertising the "cheapest price guarantee"... and the one benefit of it being delayed (was meant to be out August 1st), is it captured this discount, that may not have been intended when this sale was originally planned, due to the fact that all of those sale items should have already been released, and the discounts would only apply to any leftover stock (if any).

I don't understand how Amazon gets away with no honouring the price. At work, unless we suspect someone has been deceptive (or a customer has just dumped an item in the wrong spot (which is really easy to tell)) we have to always honour the incorrect price.

This price of Amazon's would be the equivalent of a staff member putting an item on the shelf and placing the wrong ticket on it. Which has to be honoured.

Australian consumer law allows retailers the option of honouring the price, or withdrawing the item from sale until the price can be corrected... the decision then comes down to how much damage the wrong price is going to do to the business, verses the negative publicity of not letting people buy the item.
Even though it might be seen as a suitable penalty for a retailer making a mistake, if it is is a significant error (like pricing a $100 item for just $1), it could ruin a business if they had to sell all remaining stock at that wrong price, or could ruin that brand if on the books later it suggests that a particular brand is losing them money and they stop stocking it.

For online stores, in the case of a price error, their T&Cs will almost always state that if it occurs the customer will have the option of buying at the corrected price or receiving a refund. Being a pre-order it could be a bit different.

I have over $600 of outstanding pre-orders that should have been released already by Amazon Australia.
They are still yet to get or ship items originally listed for July and August.
Many of these items have already been released by EB Games, Toyworld and Target, so I don't know why Amazon Australia isn't getting their stock, because Hasbro Australia seems to have it and is still able to send it out during the Sydney lockdown.

I really hope that Hasbro didn't pull their contract with Amazon Australia as punishment over all of those early product listings that we saw on there, and Amazon just hasn't cancelled our orders yet, hoping to still get their account back at Hasbro.
There's no reason why other retailers are getting their stock, but Amazon Australia isn't. (and I don't have the contact there at this time to ask what is going on)

Highly doubt (though I guess still possible) Hasbro would terminate their dealings with Amazon, who sells many more Hasbro items than just Transformers. Money talks and cutting Amazon just for early product pages is idiotic like cutting the nose off your face. More likely there is some issue with Amazon warehousing, I have seen that Amazon Prime despatch / shipping are slower and more delayed now compared to the past (probably due to the lockdowns). Before, you can get items within 1-2 days if it is Prime shipping, now it can take longer than that just to despatch the item.

I find it impossible to believe as well, as Amazon globally is a huge customer of any business using them... but something unusual is going on, and the less likely options have been ruled out, because the stock is in the country and shipping out to other retailers, and Amazon Australia is still selling and shipping older Transformers toys. Something is stopping Amazon Australia from getting Transformers toys since late June... pushing back release dates and even cancelling orders.

I wonder if it's actually the other way around... Maybe it now works out to be cheaper for Amazon AU to be getting their stock from Hasbro US via Amazon US? Amazon AU having tbeir own shipping containers coming from Amazon US by sea could explain the current delays.

I remember that when Amazon Australia first started here, they had products shipped from America just to be able to launch with a back-catalogue of products.
The "Hasbro Store" page is a relatively new thing, since late last year I think... so if Amazon Australia were doing it as a trial only, maybe the trial period is over, and they decided they weren't making enough sales (or stuck with too many over-priced import items).

Oh, seems it's US, sorry. $34.13 ordered 25th April. Strange all the other preorders were AU (though I cancelled tracks/wingfinger so I can't check). On the plus side, Galvatron has been on board the local mail truck since 0845, and Amazon gave me a refund - the difference between the price at the time of order and the lowest advertised price. Weird way of doing things; why not just charge only the lowest figure?

I've had it happen both ways. Most of the time, the price is adjusted before dispatch. There are times however when it will drop to a lower price between the time of order and the time it was dispatched (whether by algorithm or by a discount sale)

It is semi annoying that Amazon US stuff listed on Amazon AU won't ship to New Zealand; I either have to wait for Amazon AU to get it in or order via Amazon USA and pay more.

They finally charged me for the Kingdom Galvatron I ordered on Monday; it was going to arrive by today in New Zealand but seeing as it hasn't shipped yet, I doubt that will happen. Be interesting to see how quickly it does take to get here, due to the limited passenger planes flying between AU and NZ due to lockdowns on both sides.

In my experience once they ship it then it arrives really quickly! But man can it take a long time to actually ship. All my pre-orders haven't moved an inch (SS86 stuff that others have had ship) and even some stuff I ordered that was IN STOCK is still sitting there after a long time. Weird.

I wish I still had the old UI that tells you when an order is preparing for shipment. My account doesn't show that much info ever since I got moved to the newer UI.

Anyway. I guess they charged me for Mirage and Grimlock as I have a $77 charge from Amazon, but yeah. Sometimes it's hard to tell what's been charged for with the new UI.

Several of the charges have already dropped off my card, so yeah, strange mistake.

Also, I'd love to know how Amazon seems to be able to cancel pending charges instead of waiting for them to drop off a week or so after the charge like most companies do.

Just got cancellation email for my $30 Black Zarak order.

For some unexplainable reason they cannot sell it to me for $30. I cannot believe they wouldn't honour their word by selling me a $200-300 figure for $30.

All in all worth a shot for the 1 in a million chance it slipped through.

I was hoping that when they realised the price was wrong and fixed it, they wouldn't cancel the orders, but notify people of the change to give them the option of cancelling the order themselves, and not charge them until they confirm that they still want it at the new price.

Well, we have the link recorded here, so we just have to keep rechecking it to see if they relist it at the proper price.

I was at the post office today at about 3pm to pick up KD BW Scorponok which had arrived yesterday, and as I was next door at Coles to grab some groceries, I got a text to say that something was on its way to be delivered today from Amazon in Melbourne (I had two items in transit - The Ark and Grimlock/Mirage 2-pack). The post office would close at 5pm, so just in case it was the Ark I decided to wait in the car (parked near the post office entrance). At about 4pm a red post office van arrived, and sure enough, soon afterwards a notification came through to say it was delivered.
Hopping inside the post office, I asked them for an item that was just delivered (fortunately they know me from all the toys I pick up), and "unfortunately" it was the 2-pack.
The strange thing was that it was shipped from Melbourne by express post, which I didn't select because it has a fee to it... so either it was a mistake, or it was meant to make up for the 2 month delay, as it was supposed to be out July 7th.

Sigh... the Ark will have to wait until later in the week.

Not an item but Amazon Australia is going to charge a 0.5% surcharge if you pay by Visa cards from 1 November 2021. To avoid the charge, you can use another payment method like Mastercard, Amex, Debit card or Zip etc.

Huh. Some banks don't let you choose - I was forcibly swapped from Visa to Mastercard a few years ago. First time I've ever had reason to be glad.

Still sucky though, especially for a giant like Amazon. They'll be paying a truly tiny amount of each transaction to Visa; the bigger you are, the better deal you can get from them.

The Ark and Slug turned up this morning. No QC issues for me. That said I'm glad I didn't pay $300 for the Ark as I don't like it. Mainframe/Teletran I is much better than the Ark IMO.

Considering Amazon is famous for just throwing returns in a landfill I don't see the need to actually make people send back the item if they can prove it's defective.

If it's in relatively good condition they can resale it under their Warehouse Deals seller, which I've only seen on one occasion on Amazon AU so far but it does exist.

Perhaps not, it is still listed as an open pre-order for The Falcon's Hangar, and Savier's (where I've got mine on order) hasn't received theirs yet. So I think this is a case of everyone still waiting, not just Amazon.

I also had an issue with a recent order. Sent it to one of their Amazon Hub Lockers (their version of Australia Post's Parcel Lockers). Stuck at "Arriving Today", when I checked tracking on Aramex / Fastway's website, they had delivered it to the locker but must have forgotten to do whatever they need to do for the system to recognise it and send me a code to open the locker. Had to ask Amazon who told me to wait for it to arrive before finally sending a replacement when it was clear the courier wasn't going to complete the last step after over a week.

Scourge was quite popular when he first came out at the general retail shops and I haven't seen him online or in life for a long while. You could wait till Sweep comes around and pretend he's Scourge or The Falcon's Hangar (http://www.tfh.com.sg/product-details.php?p=25486) still has him in stock at SGD $48 + $16 shipping.

I'm wondering if I should care. On the one hand, I was never out of pocket for anything, so there's no loss. On the other, this is exactly the sort of behaviour that the ACCC exists to protect consumers from, and needs to be crushed on sight (if this is just some promise that Amazon intends to break), especially from a big US-controlled corporation.

Yes.

As Lucretia mentioned, Amazon customer service (via chat or phone) can manually apply the $10 promotional credit to your account. Quote the order number and the date/time the email was received. They can probably verify the original email in their system. The chat will only take a few minutes.

Looks like mine did too... so they must have been released globally together, as they came out in Asia at the same time.

While Aus Post and Star Track are both under the same corporate umbrella and share some operations they do also have some separated operations. That's why when parts of Aus Post shut down for a few days a couple of weeks back Star Track kept working as normal.
