Not a fan of the look they have given Apocalypse I understand why they've given it to him, based on the Egyptian background.

Doesn't look great, but I expected DoFP to be terrible and was very surprised how well it turned out. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.

Definitely part of his redesign, but I think it may also be to further distinguish him from Thanos in the Avengers movies.

I know they don't look very similar to to the movie fans it might be enough to confuse them.

There was no need to give Apocalypse blue skin to start with because it's always been gray.:confused:
Furthermore (just a subjective gripe) his voice lacks the presence I remember from the early 90's cartoons which is where I first encountered this villain.:(

I'm hopeful for the new X-men film, the trailer is just ok but from past experiences I've found you can't judge a Brian Singer film from it's trailer, what made the first two and last X-men films good for me is that I could actually get a little invested in the characters.

The trailer looks nice for TMNT 2 but this may be another TF4. Looks more fun though.

I just saw that trailer, I thought the previous movie was as bad as a TF movie, and although this looks just as CGI and stupid, it does look like they are embracing the toon in all it's ridiculousness, maybe getting rid of that vibe of dour seriousness and self importance that seems to pervade Bay related films.

So I just watched the trailer for Independence Day 2. And I gotta say I am excited to see it next year.

I kinda felt the opposite from the trailer, it felt too serious. Also there were no landmarks blowing up. The first movie was apocalyptic yet light and fluffy, hard act to follow at the moment if your not Marvel.

Not a huge fan of that new Star Trek trailer, just looks like a generic sci-fi action film rather than Star Trek.

Yeah, a lot of the comments on youtube is that it looks more like Guardians of the Galaxy 2 rather than Star Trek. I'd agree.

Yep, but where's the fun? It's the "Welcome to Earth!" moments that are missing in the trailer so far. I didn't like the first film all that much when I first saw it, it was cheesy as clichéd as hell, but It kinda grows on you overtime, I think because of that sense of fun.

Also over half of Earth's cities were already wiped out in the previous movie, so the looming apocalypse doesn't have the same emotional pull it had with the first film, they're going to have to do something a bit different this time.

I was wondering where all the posts about Star Wars were, and thinking maybe everyone who watched the midnight screenings must still be sleeping in... then I noticed the Force Awakens thread (http://otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=22060) (which I'm avoiding until I see the movie this Friday night :o)

They've just started production on Bad Santa 2 :eek::D

Bad Santa is one of my fav movies ever - such a brilliantly dark comedy! Billy Bob has admitted from the get go that this won't be as good as the first one and frankly I don't see how it could be. As much as I'm looking forward to it I don't think they should be making a sequel, the first one was just a brilliant stand alone flick and if Billy who is the writer, director and star is saying from the outset this won't be as good then they should just leave it.

That said, I'll be going to see it when it hits cinemas in Nov :D

Saw the trailer for the upcoming 'Ghostbusters' movie.

I gotta admit, I've been VERY negative about the whole new GB thing. I've been championing that they should leave the franchise alone, its great as is - don't mess with it! And I really didn't like that they've made it an all female cast.

However after watching the trailer I must say I'm actually kinda liking it - it's looking like it will be faithful to the GB concept and the actresses look like they will be quite funny.

However maybe it's just because they have the old Ghostbusters music playing in the background of the trailer. That music is so damn catchy! I something think they could show images of starving children in Africa with that music playing and people would go "This rocks!" :o:p

Saw the trailer for the upcoming 'Ghostbusters' movie.

I couldn't disagree more, I was thinking "this shouldn't be made, but no doubt I'll be won over by the trailers" but then I saw it, yikes... looks like Adam Sandler Pixels-esc trash.

Sony has to be the worst of the major studios, hell I found out after seeing the trailer that they were considering suing Murray in order to force his cameo. Scum.

On the upside GBII looks like it won't be the worst GB film anymore :D

Oh yeah, and Spidey in Cap3 looks decent. Shutter eyes seems odd but I'll no doubt get used to it.

Lately I've been watching the Suicide Squad trailer #2 lately and it got me thinking about the Dark Knight trailer where it looked Heath Ledger was going to steal the show and lo and behold he did. Well, this time around I'll bet that Margot Robbie is going to do the same on Suicide Squad.

I can't stand his voice. I know there was only one speaking part shown, but still.

Oh, and why is this a Captain American 'movie' when pretty much the whole Avengers cast is in it and then some. It should be called 'Avengers - Civil War' ;)

I certainly think so. When the movie was first announced I was like "oooohhh that could be interesting" then they released that photo of the assembled team and I'm like "errr Slipknot, El Diablo... I don't think this going to work" but from the moment I saw the comic con trailer I was blown away by how much it sucked me in. That being said though Suicide Squad is one of the comics I've read a lot so I do have a bit of an interest in it.

I'm looking forward to seeing Wonder Woman. I hope that this will mean more stand alone superheroine movies, because most superheroines tend to appear as supporting characters in superhero films. I can count on one hand the number of superheroine movies that come to mind...
* Elektra (2005)
* Catwoman (2004)
* Supergirl (1984)
...and those movies were all terrible. Wonder Woman may be the first stand alone superheroine movie that - hopefully - won't suck! And I hope that this will inspire studios to produce more superheroine movies in the future.

I hope that Wonder Woman will be more family friendly that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Martha.

Everybody (especially 1AZRAEL1), have you read the news that there's going to be a Batman animated movie that centre's on the 1960's TV series? It's called "Return of the Caped Crusaders" and I thought the closest we'd get to something like this would be "The Brave and the Bold" series. Speculations is a lot of misdirection. This seems to be COMMON with Disney atm, from experience I seen with Star Wars.

So what you saw may only be 10% true and some with fake shots. Before you question why, this was done in previous Avengers trailer as well.

I honestly watch and don't think much of it.

Missing Captain Marvel in it says a LOT about the trailer, not the movie.

So there are rumours of Michael B Jordan being cast as the first Black Superman on screen, and already there are sad nerds on the interwebs crying "White Genocide."

Yeah okay. Just to set the record straight, Jordan has expressed interest in playing Earth-23's Calvin Ellis Superman, not Clark Kent Superman. And Calvin Ellis Superman is supposed to be black (just as Miles Morales was always meant to be an Afro-Latino Spider-Man). I'm sure everyone here understands this, but if you encounter any hate-mongers on other platforms, feel free to share this link (https://www.cbr.com/michael-b-jordan-calvin-ellis-superman/). :)

At San Diego Comic Con, Marvel's phase 4 of their cinematic universe has been unveiled. Here are the ones that grabbed me the most:

Black Widow: Never thought this was going to happen but it is. And Taskmaster will be included.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings: Finally we get to see the real Mandarin. Pity Iron Man is not around to fight him.:(

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness: It looks like The New Mutants isn't going to be the only Marvel horror movie. I'm betting Shuma Gorath will be the Dormammu-like villain.

What If...?: Fingers crossed at the prospect of the Punisher combined with the Venom symbiote story occuring.

Blade: So let's see if Blade becomes part of a Nightstalkers trio that's more faithful to the 1990's comics than the one featured in Blade Trinity.

Yep - all the new Phase 4 characters will be after Endgame so 2023 and beyond. But like Far From Home they may touch on past events. I think they may incorporate that One Shot flick from Iron Man when 'The Mandarin' was approached by actual member's of The Ten Rings in prison.
