Has anyone seen the Supergirl pilot yet? I was going to watch it but I have been swayed by some friends reviews. They generally described as "Ugly Betty meets Superman" and it's overly pro feminism.

well it is supergirl show so pro feminism is obvious..as she going to kick everyone's butt...
i think they just over analyse it way too much....it just fun to watch , not taking it too serious ,tone abit like the flash....

I just watched the trailer. Not bad, but I think they went the wrong direction. Powergirl is WAY more interesting than Supergirl! Supergirl is basically a less powerful version of Superman with a bunch of emotional baggage, whereas Powergirl is Supermans cousin from an alternate dimension (their version of Supergirl) and more grown up and powerful! I've got a fair few Powergirl comics - the Supergirl comics bored me.

Been catching Vikings on Netflix. Most of the way through the 1st season and not sure I'll finish it. Trying a little too hard to be Game of Thrones but lacks tension and intrigue. Just not really caring about the characters or situations.

On the other hand, the last episode of season one of The Flash was epic!!! Really got good toward the end of the first series, they really hit their straps. Can't wait for season 2, although not sure how they will rachet up the tension without... someone I won't name to avoid spoilers.;)

Sounds great. I loved Ugly Betty, and I loved Lois and Clark back in the day. I also loved Ally McBeal so my TV tastes might be different.

I wasn't keen on Flash and gave up after the pilot, but I came back to it about 10 eps in and grew to like it a lot. Might find the same thing with Supergirl when it's on TV rather than leaked online, allow the show to find it's legs and then give it a go.

Dark Matter starts soon! Woooooo! For any of those who loved Stargate and don't know what this is. It's made by one of (my favorite) Stargates writers/producers Joseph Mallozzi (https://josephmallozzi.wordpress.com/).

The six-person crew of a derelict spaceship awakens from stasis in the farthest reaches of space. Their memories wiped clean, they have no recollection of who they are or how they got on board. The only clue to their identities is a cargo bay full of weaponry and a destination: a remote mining colony that is about to become a war zone. With no idea whose side they are on, they face a deadly decision. Will these amnesiacs turn their backs on history, or will their pasts catch up with them?

And the comic (https://www.darkhorse.com/Comics/18-060/Dark-Matter-1) for those who might be interested.

They played the episodes out of order when they first aired them, even though it was an ongoing storyline. They wanted a big action episode to hook people so after the pilot they played ep 4, then went back to ep 2. It came across so disjointed people switched off in droves

Slow. Great that they feature characters of diversity and all that, but there kinda needs to be a strong story behind it all. Ep 1 is basically a bunch of characters doing stuff that doesn't make a lot of sense. My feeling is that by the end of the pilot, you should know basically what the heck is going on. I'm just into episode 2 and still wondering what the point of it all is. It was compared to Lost in one review I read, I can see why. All mystery, no pay-off.

My wife loves that show. We usually watch it on a Friday night after the kids are in bed. Her actually watching and me half-watching while I bust out one of my backlog of unopened TF's.

It's almost always the same. Someone has created a profile of a really physically attractive person, had an online love affair for a few years, then when they get tracked down they are a big fat-to-obese bugger looking embarrassed. Sometimes as well with the girls it turns out that the other person was a big hefty lesbian who was pretending to be a man :p

It's so good. Visceral. The only thing I didn't like is the depiction of the Kingpin - too hesitant, lacking self confidence at times. What's great about the Matt Murdock/Wilson Fisk relationship is that they are both forces of nature, getting by on sheer willpower, and clashing unrelentingly. It's a great pairing. But in the series, Fisk is a bit too wishy-washy.

There's a brilliant fight scene, end of episode 2 I think, a long tracking shot, so brilliantly choreographed.

For me, I've finally watched the first few eps of Agent Carter. Absolutely brilliant.

A sad day for geeks and nerds all over the world - Mythbusters is ending after the next season (http://www.ew.com/article/2015/10/21/mythbusters-ending-interview) (which starts January 2016 in America).

With the show screening on two channels at the same time here, it's hard to know who's got the rights to the most recent seasons.

Thoughts:
Disclaimer: I'm not much of a DC fan, so please excuse me if I talk about something in the show as if it were something new, but it actually originated from the comics :o

* Okay, I get that there are probably legal reasons why they can't show Superman, and even limitations to how often they can even say his name (as it's a registered trademark), as well as other Superman trademarks. And sure, I get that the show's budget won't allow them to easily hire Henry Cavill (http://www.thewrap.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Henry-Cavill-Superman-Batman-v-Superman-Dawn-of-Justice-Featured.jpg) -- so for all these reasons we never get a clear show of Superman and his name is rarely directly mentioned. Okay, that's fine. And I understand that they want this show to stand on its own two feet without having to rely too much on Superman, fine. So please don't talk about Superman so much? :o

* Casting Helen Slater (http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/smallville/images/a/aa/71090_035_123_1200lo.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20101012012823) and Dean Cain (http://www.propbay.com/attachments/original/2245d1326987959-dean-cain-s-superman-costume-suit_3.jpg) as Kara Danvers' adoptive parents (http://static2.businessinsider.com/image/562fa814bd86ef1c008c5141-1200/supergirl-aka-kara-gets-her-own-set-of-adoptive-parents-the-danvers-will-end-up-raising-the-young-kryptonian-in-a-nod-to-superman-stories-of-yore-theyre-played-by-lois-and-clark-star-dean-cain-and-helen-slater-who-played-supergirl-in-the-1984-film-named-for-the-character-they-both-also-cameoed-on-the-cws-smallville-its-a-small-world-at-least-in-comic-book-adaptations.jpg) was very cool! :D

* Kara's family also built an escape pod for her and launched it shortly after Jor-El launched Kal-El's so that she could watch over him. A poignant allegory for the way that many refugee families are forcibly separated -- in this case, they were fleeing the destruction of Krypton rather than a war. Although in Man of Steel it was kinda both, as Kal El's pod was ejected during Zod's coup. And the end of this episode reveals someone who appears to be Alura's twin sister and Kara's aunt... she gives off a Zod-esque vibe.

* The inclusion of Not-S.H.I.E.L.D. is an interesting one and does help to give the series a more realistic grounding. The presence of alien life forms on Earth, especially a ship full of escaped Phantom Zone convicts, would most likely prompt a secret military response. And it does seem to a more measured response than what we initially saw in Man of Steel, but it may be because they learnt their lessons after dealing with Superman (which was kinda hinted at as well). Although IMHO Not-S.H.I.E.L.D. isn't quite as cool as S.H.I.E.L.D. But hopefully they don't share S.H.I.E.L.D's weakness (http://files.websitetoolbox.com/157641/1871199). ;)

* Much like Slater's Supergirl, Benoit's Supergirl has two distinct flying styles. What I call the "action" style, pretty much same as Superman's, and the "winged" style, where both arms are spread out like wings. This was first developed for the 1984 film to help make Supergirl's flying style look more distinctive from Superman's, as well as more feminine. They also added mid-air ballet which looked silly. Thankfully 2015 Supergirl doesn't do any ballet, but it's cool that she's kept the 'winged' style as a homage to the original Supergirl. And she does it when she's cruising through the air, and not if she has to pick up speed or during fights.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y227/goktimusprime/supergirl_flight_zpsnmvkxrlc.jpg

* Something else that they've done to further differentiate Supergirl from Superman --- her heat vision burns blue instead of orange/red (http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/9/97917/3226662-man-of-steel-20.jpg).

* Here's something interesting. Kara (http://www.knowitalljoe.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Melissa-Benoist-Kara-Danvers-Supergirl.jpg) Danvers (http://thekoalition.com/images/2015/10/CBS-Supergirl-TV-Screenshot-Kara-Zor-El-Melissa-Benoist-Glasses-11.jpg) has (http://supergirlmaidofmight.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/karas-pink-dress-black-trim.jpg) pierced (https://mikecanex.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/supergirls01e010023.jpg) ears (http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BleVmnv8B1c/VVRYvAkhK1I/AAAAAAAAEE0/UR1jW5ksOQw/s1600/Melissa%2BBenoist%2Bas%2BKara%2BZor-El%2Bin%2B2015%2BCBS%2BSupergirl.jpg). As Supergirl, she sometimes has pierced ears (http://www.superrobotmayhem.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Melissa-Benoist-is-Supergirl.jpg), but sometimes (http://i.ytimg.com/vi/qOFo8PugoEM/maxresdefault.jpg) doesn't (http://images.designntrend.com/data/images/full/57851/melissa-benoist.jpg?w=780). They must be fake piercings (extremely strong fake piercings that never fall off) as needless to say that Supergirl's skin is indestructible. And before she got cut by that alien axe, she said that she'd never felt pain or been cut before. Also, she appears to have a healing factor, because her wound heals itself completely as soon as they removed the fragment.

* I find the whole estranged nature between Kara and Kal-El's relationship to be odd. So did Kal-El just find Kara as a child after crashing on Earth, then dumped with the Danvers and fly off never to be seen again? That's kinda slack. Superman too busy to make time for his only surviving blood relation?! Not even a freakin' Skype/Facetime or SMS? Heck, the dude has super-duper-speed... as if he couldn't swing by for a quick visit here and there. Okay, I understand that this cannot be explicitly shown, but they can easily imply or allude to it. Having Jimmy Olsen there as Superman's errand boy just seems a bit weird to me.

* I really do hope that they do manage to work Clark Kent into the series, even as a cameo. It doesn't need to be Henry Cavill, as this series isn't set in the Man of Steel Universe anyway. Clark might be easier to initially work in than Superman, because then he wouldn't always have to be in his trademarked costume and they wouldn't always have to call him by his full name. It could just be a quick visit at the end of an episode where Clark drops by just to see how his cousin's going. They producers can try to work something out later when Superman appears in costume and may even possibly fight alongside Supergirl. Let's face it, fans have wanted to see the two Kryptonians pair up on screen (https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8244/8484636281_6d2e98fcbe_z.jpg) since forever. It was even meant to have happened for the 1984 film (http://thecomicscode.weebly.com/christopher-reeve-supergirl.html). Although Kara and Clark both teamed up together in Smallville (http://www.johnbierly.com/wp-content/uploads/smallville-supergirl.jpg), it wasn't the same as they didn't have their full gamut of powers nor their iconic costumes (merely civvies inspired by their costumes). I wanna see something like this (http://41.media.tumblr.com/69feb73316782550f956dd5d66f15120/tumblr_ngfv5oiNxW1qii6jto1_1280.jpg)! :D And I wouldn't mind seeing Brandon Routh or Tom Welling being cast as Kal El. They should be cheaper than Cavill, especially Welling (so I imagine)... although Routh is cuter than Welling (http://www.siteadvisor.com/restricted.html?domain=http:%2F%2Fi35.tinypic.com% 2F34fckte.jpg&originalURL=-500143110&pip=false&premium=false&client_uid=1462972635&client_ver=4.0.1.184&client_type=IEPlugin&suite=true&aff_id=662-4&locale=en_au&ui=1&os_ver=6.1.1.0). :p

Sleepy Hollow continues to entertain with the antics of Ichabod Crane getting used to modern society. Where I'm up to he sees two men holding hands in a restaurant and gasps "They allow that?!" His partner then goes on to explain how over the course of time it has become socially acceptable and they have even passed law allowing gay marriage. Ichabod retorts with "I'm well versed with the acceptance of homosexuality. I'm referring to the fact that the gentleman on the left is wearing a hat while eating dinner":p

It's so good even my wife likes it, and she normally doesn't like those over-the-top bad stuff hahaha. One of the best lines is in the first ep. Could not stop laughing at it. Second ep was damn good too. Can't wait to see more. Funny how it got renewed for a second season even before first ep was shown haha.

Also watching Z Nation atm, has captivated me so I have to keep watching lol.

At the request of some of my mates, we started watching Blue Mountain State. Your typical college comedy really, but is quite fun to watch.

And for a bit of retro action, been watching Batman: The Animated Series again because no other dc movie/tv show will ever be as good as that, but Batman Beyond certainly takes a close second place.

There was some CGI thing they used to show on Nine (or Go) late at night. Pretty sure that was aimed at an older audience

What you need to do is find the original Batman The Animated Series from the 90s. There was the best Batman cartoon ever, enjoyable for teens and adults, and bonus Batman and Joker have the same voices as in Arkham Asylum. :)

Beware The Batman is the CGI show. Caught an episode or 2 on tv so went out and bought the dvds. Is aimed at an older audience. Probably why it got canned. Was actually good we thought.

And if you want dark Batman stuff, might I suggest The Dark Knight Returns cartoon movie. They separated it into 2 parts but you can track down a release that put it back together. You'll notice alot of references of this Frank Miller story in the upcoming movie. Kinda why I am excited for the live action movie because this comic story is just brutally awesome. And Year One is also another Frank Miller story, great cartoon and worth watching too.

And another dark comic that is being made into a cartoon movie is The Killing Joke. It is the origin story of the Joker and it is quite quite brutal. And topping it off, they've given it a go ahead for an R rating, only way it can be done if you've read the comic. And if that ain't enough, Conroy and Hamill will reprise their iconic roles. Hamill, while retired from the Joker, always said he would come back for this role. Tim Burton, and a number others, have cited this story as inspirations.

Sorry for the essays, but I am a massive Batman fan

I loved all the Arkham games. Even though the panned Origins, mostly for the controls, the story was great. When Knight was coming, I played through Origins Asylum and City all again. I love that the games all have massive references to the comics all through them. Knight was a little dissapointing due to the heavy reliance on the Batmobile, but storywise again it was just awesome. Wish they went with Jean Paul Valley as Azrael, but he was the old comics while Michael is the new Azrael.

Speaking of which, I would love to see Knightfall done as a cartoon movie, or 3 because of how damn long it is. Probably my favourite Batman stories of all time, which I was reading the TPB only to realise it is missing a massive amount of comics. So I am on the hunt for the ones I need to complete the story. Damn these publishers for having a great story arc spanning a number of comic titles

Gee, you've taken me by surprise. I always thought DC Comics policy was to keep the Joker's background constantly unknown.

That's partially true. His origin was revealed in 1951 in Detective Comics 168. In the story, Batman and Robin try to solve the case of The Red Hood. They track him down and he tells them the story that he stole the outfit from the real red hood and started to use it himself. He takes them to where he had Joker tied up and Joker reveals his story that when he jumped into the vat of chemicals to escape Batman, he became transformed. This was reused and updated in 1988 with The Killing Joke.

But there have been a few other origin stories that have been done since, so really there is no one right correct story. Much like how in Nolan's Dark Knight, the Joker tells a different story each time.

So I finally got around to watching Daredevil. It was okay and ended with enough loose threads and secrets in the trio of protagonists to make this seem like the writers are in this for the long haul.

Vincent D'onofrio looks the part and is very convincing as Fisk but who decided this petulant child with a penchant for homocidal tantrums could lead let alone be a partner of a crime syndicate? The entire season seems to be a deconstruction of his character from the untouchable Kingpin to the fat kid that got teased at school. How he ever held it together long enough to convince the criminal underworld that he wouldn't spectacularly self-destruct is completely lost on me. Long enough to build a criminal empire that included half the cops, mass media and at least one Senator. HOW?

But how did he rise to power in the first place? Nobody wants to work with the crazy fat kid. You saw how everyone was distancing themselves from him as his world fell apart. Nobody wants to promote that kind of guy up the ranks. His uncontrollable rage would limit him to a mere thug in the hierarchy. P.S.: That Daredevil series is such a belter that it would be criminal if it didn't win at least one Emmy award.

Saw second episode of Supergirl. It's alright, it's getting better. It might be able to pull it off, though likely not to the extent of the Flash or Arrow, which are running beautifully (especially the former).

The reveal during episode 8 really is amazing! Thinking it's going to be a lot better from there on.

Jessica Jones is very good too.

So I've started watching Millennium, I'm 19 years late, but what an intriguing show! Lance Henriksen is always great, there is just something very captivating about it, highly recommended.

The Flash still has it with Zoom, whom we need to be seeing more of, along with more stuff at the end of episodes like Season 1 did so well. It's still pretty great.

Supergirl is alright, but has a lot of holes (how the hell can't anyone tell) and can be cringey.

The X Files is on channel 1 8:30 on Saturdays, I missed 3 episodes and it went from season 2 to season 4 I have a feeling the people at network 10 are missing a multitude of episodes

They are showing selected "best" episodes. Something about the favourite eps of Gillian, David and Chris Carter.

Edit: Here you go

Carter selected 10 “essential” eps across the first 6 seasons that epitomised the show. One has been showing them but padding them out. The list was #1.1 Pilot, #1.2 Deep Throat, #1.13 Beyond The Sea, #1.24 The Erlenmeyer Flask, #2.2 The Host, #3.4 Clyde Bruckman’s Final Repose, #4.4 Memento Mori, #5.5 Post Modern Prometheus, #5.12 Bad Blood, #6.18 Milagro.

Don't forget Fresh of the Boat (Asian) and Modern Family (Caucasian). Stereotyping, if done correctly, can be quite funny and seems to be a hit at the moment. It's when people take them too seriously, or the jokes boarder on racist, that issues arise.

Personally, I'm loving "You're the Worst". Such a different type of comedy. As long as you aren't easily offended or appalled I would recommend it.

One show I'm really liking is on the new food channel (33), called Cutthroat Kitchen. It's the one cooking game show that doesn't make me want to go out and eat something I saw on screen (like most other cooking game shows do).
The four contestants are each given $25,000 each at the start and one contestant is eliminated after each of the three cooking rounds (and giving back the cash)... but that money is there to be spent on sabotage items that are up for auction at the start of each round. The winner then keeps whatever money is left that they haven't spent.

I've been wanting to have a semi-rant about those two upcoming shows for a while now... about how those (and other racial/ethnic demographic comedies in the past) are actually making it harder for us to teach our younger generations to not treat other races as inferior or funny. Considering the racial tensions at the moment with middle eastern ethnic groups (due to IS), I think it is a poor choice for Channel 9 to be producing a show that aims to make them a laughing stock to the white folk.

Family Law is based on a book by an Asian guy, but I don't know who created or wrote the Habibs show - I still don't think it is okay if the writers actually were Middle Eastern.
Obviously if the writers of those shows were of a different race it would be labelled as racist to make fun of another race, but I actually don't think it is okay to have "ethnic differences" humour written by anyone, even by people of that race who should be fighting against people making fun of their culture or differences. Because the damage isn't done by the one voice saying these things, the damage is done by the large audience who then propagate and keep that derogatory humour alive among their friends and family, for their own amusement or power. (kinda like cyber, office or schoolyard bullying, with a large number of people focussing on a single target)
Exaggerating or making fun of one's normal behaviour or cultural quirks is racist for anyone to do, especially if they are just doing it to make money... particularly on mass media (TV or film) that will impress a wide audience with new things to make fun of that race with, or to believe that the over-exaggerated behaviour done for comedic effect is the norm for all people of that race.

I'm also enjoying the 3rd season of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, with the development of a team of Inhumans (with super powers) this season... and being on twice a week makes it quicker to get into the story.
It's just going to be tough waiting 4-6 months for the second half of the season, as this is one of the growing number of US shows that has a mid-season break of a couple months (either to make up for less episodes, or to cover more of the ratings period).

Marvel's Agents of Shield is listed on the TV guide for tonight at 11.12pm, and the description suggests it is a new episode... which only just aired in America in the last 24 hours... making it an odd turnaround from the first half of the season, which had it go to Foxtel first and then show up on Channel 7 about three months later.
The weird thing is why get the rights back to screen it within a day of America (which wouldn't be cheap), just to have it on late at night (three hours after prime time), with no advertising to say it is even on. It's almost like they want it to fail and be a waste of money. (they don't even repeat it like the three commercial stations do with a lot of their programs, sometimes 3 times in the week)

On the plus side, apparently it has been given the green light for a fourth season as of last week.

After Agents of SHIELD, Daredevil and Jessica Jones, I think I've caught up with Marvel's TV series and thought I should sample a few of DC's opening episodes. Just have a taste of each series before committing to a whole season.

Gotham is okay. Would be better if it was just a cop drama and divorced from the Batman mythos because I'm just sitting there thinking how wrong the characters are.

I already dropped Arrow mid way through season 2. This going back and forth to the island is just stupid and why the hell are they trying so hard to make this Green Arrow shaped peg fit into a Batman shaped hole? Deathstroke was great and that's about it.

The Flash is pretty good. It's formula feels a lot like Smallville from back in the day. Growing pains as a man and a hero. Light and enjoyable.

I haven't had a chance to start Supergirl but all indications point to this comparing favorably to The Flash and that sounds good to me. I might watch this side by side with Flash.

Legends of Tomorrow. If one word could describe this it would be: Hokey. Much fun to be but such bad everything. Superhero CG effects on a TV budget, a team of heroes thrown together seemingly at random, laughable scripting/acting and all strung together on the thinnest of plot devices: time travel. Makes me want to ironically watch Mutant-X again.

I know they build the Go catch up service into the IQ3 box, but I really want to switch from the IQ3 to the Play app because it's in HD without having to pay an extra $10 a month and I can cancel anytime online as opposed to calling them and negotiating with a retention representative.

By luck on the History channel, I came across a documentary series called Superheroes: A never-ending battle. The first episode covers the 1930's, 40's and 50's. The second covers the 60's and 70's. The third will cover the 80's and the subsequent superhero movie boom.

Interesting how The Shadow paved the way for the founding of Batman.

And how a certain issue of Spider-man loosened the iron grip of the Comics Code Authority.

Im a fan, I watch it every week, but thought the same before I saw the first episode. I like it for a few reasons. One is there's a good "cast" with mostly strong and entertaining personalities that are amusing to watch

Another is it's a good way to sample shows that I would never watch. The narrator recaps a show and shows scenes and we see the viewers react and commentate. Like I'm not going to watch hours of the latest cooking/renovation show but a small package of 'highlights' with snarky comments and discussions from the home viewers is enough for me.

Maybe it's because I don't have someone to make those comments about what I'm watching to now I live alone (except on Twitter) and I miss it.

Hannibal was a great show (although I am yet to watch season 3). Sad to see it get the axe.

I've started watching season 3 of Penny Dreadful and it's looking more intense and suspenseful than ever. The prospect of what Dr. Frankenstein and Dr. Jekyll working together can create is looking interesting and obviously disastrous.

My Year 12s just pointed out to me that there's some guy currently on Family Feud called Paul Parton who claims to be a Transformers collector. Does anyone know this guy?

If you are a member of the TCCA on Facebook some guy posted it there

With the second series about to drop I finally watched Sense8 on Netflix and I loved it. Can't remember a TV show where I've been cheering so much when a character appeared, and a few scenes that I can't quite get out of my head. There's a bit of sex and some pretty graphic violence in it so it wont be for everyone, but I am hooked and look forward to watching season 2 soon.

Channel 3 (SBS) at 11pm tonight is showing 'Plastic Galaxy: Star Wars Toys'.

Megatran flagged this in the Star Wars threads last night and I recorded it to check it out, and after watching it tonight thought it was worth sharing more broadly. It was quite an interesting look at the history of Star Wars toys, some stuff I'd read about before, more that I hadn't.

Lots of talking heads from guys who had grown up from kids with the toys into serious collectors (lots of big SW collections on display in the backgrounds) and saying things that felt familiar to me and to discussions I've had with people here over the years about toy collecting.

Worth checking out and it appears to be available on the SBS On Demand service (http://www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/video/692353091955/plastic-galaxy-the-story-of-star-wars-toys).

Just finished the latest season of Supernatural. Boy do I love that show. I really enjoyed where they took this latest season :D -- I find not a lot of shows bother to do what they've done over the years.

Watched the first episode of the new Voltron.

Well worth a watch! Honours the original while creating a new story at the same time. A comedic kiwi accent in the mix (probably my least favourite character despite being a kiwi myself) too. All it needs is Peter Cullen doing the intro and it would be perfect.

Great blast from the past modernisation for those who loved the original (like me) and also great for those who've never seen it before. My kids loved it too.

Hasbro could learn a lot from that show. A re-imaged version of G1 like this would be great (especially while some of the original voices are still around).

I've been watching it too. I'm off sick with the flu and signed up for a Netflix account since you can trial a free month. I'm 9 episodes in and really enjoying it which surprised me since I expected it to be tripe.

As I've said before, you can see that the animators are fans of GaoGaiGar, from the lion/Voltron combination scene through to some of the robeasts (or whatever they call them now). The one with all the laser eyes was very zonder inspired.

God I hope the rumour of a SoC Voltron from this series is true!

Also been watching Voltron with my kids. Absolutely love it! It's extremely funny and well written. We're up to about episode 5. Only problem is, my kids want the toys now so hopefully some get released in time for Xmas.

Haha! I have the same problem! My kids want the toys too but all there is on shelves at the moment are the 3P non transforming combined Voltron.

Fingers crossed they do a release of toys to go with the show. That would be AWESOME!

We've watched up to episode 11 and my kids are still hooked.

What shelves would that be? I think at this point, they'd settle for anything Voltron related.

The anime shelves at the local toy stores here in HK. There is a Chibi version and a more standard one, both based on the original 80's combination, but they aren't cheap otherwise I would have grabbed them already.

Agreed, new Voltron series rocks, quite impressed, kids love it, dig the animation as well (particularly the hand to hand combat scenes), bring on season 2 and the toys I say. :)

I finished off Voltron last night. Liked the animation, liked the takes on the characters whose characterization I only have vague memories of from childhood. Thought they did some interesting new stuff instead of being a complete retread. I assumed there'd be a few more episodes in the first series though so didn't know I was on the last episode until there weren't any more.

Just finished watching the last episode of season 6 of Game of Thrones and more than ever do I want to see that Cersei b!*^$ dead:mad: but the previous episode (Battle of the Bastards) is the best of all seasons. I've watched it four times so far.:D

I should've been filming my wifes' reaction to the last episode of GoT. Especially when King's Landing finally lived up to its name (Best comment I've seen on the episode).

So interesting that they wiped the board almost clear, next season is going to be amazing, in terms of getting to the final battle should be relatively easy now that Westeros is all but broken.
