    Maybe this smaller version was the answer to the request for a proper MP Ultra Magnus, which would have been too big and expensive if done with the bigger, original Convoy/Optimus mould.
    It's just a pity that it is being released under a banner that suggests 'one-off' centrepiece examples of iconic characters... it kinda cheapens that ideology by generating a second, smaller toy of a character already (heavily featured) in the line.

    Yeah, I'm expecting something similar to what Yamato did with their going from the 1/48 to 1/60 Ver.2 Valkyries. They basically refined proportions and fixed problems that existed in the larger scale mold. One of the problems was incomparability between some armor parts.

    I welcome a better Masterpiece Prime. Just not the inevitable repaints.

    I also kinda approve of the way they are REALLY giving the finger to iGear. Hopefully we will see the MP Seeker Coneheads soon too.
    Which brings us to where we are today...

    He's good, but he's not quite a Masterpiece. There are a few things that Takara could improve I'm sure, if they tried hard enough.

    Nah, the G1-ers can keep the Masterpiece line for now, they've had enough disappointments.

    Just give me 30 more show accurate BW statues using the Mainframe models. That'll make them jealous!

    I hope this is the case and there is a 'complete' Magnus but I seriously doubt it.
